Ariadne

It was a warm spring day and all the creatures of the wing platow seemed to be out and about. Ariadne was one of those creatures. She sat in a small meadow of flowers eagerly awaiting the male she wished to call her own. They weren't officially mates but they already acted like it. The only thing they didn't do that mates did was live together and have a clutch of eggs. Dionysos flew over the meadow when he caught sight of the gorgeous female he hoped to soon call his own. He studied the female as he softly landed next to her. She was a sight to behold. She had beautiful pink and green butterfly wings. Her light green body was currently being covered by soft green silk, that was held together by a few white lilies. He also noticed when she turned to him how her green eyes seemed to pop out from behind her mask. The female let out a small gasp of shock when the male landed next to her. He had really gone all out for there date. His bright pink stomach and the mix of greens that covered his body and wings only seemed to be highlighted by the apparel he wore. He had wrapped giant yellow flowers from his wings. “Hello.” The male said a bit of nervousness in his voice. The female smiled at him and greeted back. She rested her tail on his own sensing the unease he was feeling, and wondering what was wrong. The male took a deep breath before asking the question “My beautiful Ariadne will you do my the greatest honor and become my mate?” The pair landed in the flowers with a small thump. The female quickly chirping out a yes. After that the rest was history.
