Summer has always been a brave, headstrong dragon, willing to fight for what he believes in. Loyal down to the very bone. He cares deeply for the safety of the Clan of Fallen Leaves, and regularly goes on scouting missions to scope out potential dangers.

"Father, are you certain-"

"Yes," Madock said, his voice growing weary after answering the same question many times the week after the big announcement. His antennae wavered slightly, sensing Summer's apprehension. "Eth can handle this responsibility, you know."

Summer blinked. "Yes. Of course," Summer said. "I know he can! He's just so young…"

"And he already understands his duty. It took even you some time to develop a sense of duty, as you very well know." Madock shook his head with a slight smile. "Always gallivanting about. At least you helped the clan along the way."

As Madock rambled on about hatchling antics, Summer still worried about his young brother. He read the betrothal contract; nothing in it stated the pair had to live with each other. Essentially, all they had to do was attend a couple clan functions-- in each clan --and have some hatchlings. Purely duty to the clan.

Don't get him wrong, he loves Fallen Leaves. He would do so much for his clan. But sacrificing a chance at true love seems a bit much.
