Lichwood is a massive, undead dragon intertwined with a dead, charred tree. Found as a corpse on the top of a secluded mountain, buried under a gnarled tree that had repeatedly been struck by lightning and/or burned, Lichwood's body was disturbed on accident by a fellow ridgeback. Upon his bones being displaced and burial site ravaged, Lichwood's dead, decayed body roared to life, taking a massive chunk out of the dragon who dared wake him. The assailant, Aatrum, became cursed and Shadetouched, her scales infused with eternally generating ink and her body inflicted with eternal life.

Since Lichwood's awakening, many other cursed dragons have emerged in his presence. He mostly keeps to himself atop his silent mountain, though gazes with disdain at the clan that has taken home below him. He plots for revenge and for slaughter, but is fully aware that their clan's leader, Tera, is aware of the nature of a lich. Lichwood's soul is bound to the tree that grew within him after his death, and without it, he cannot survive. He is under constant threat of eternal death if he dares make a move against Tera's vigilant clan, and must first plan around their watchful eyes and knowledgable ways before he can achieve domination.
