Dumpster loved poop bugs. It was plainly obvious to anyone who met him. He had at least twenty with him at all times, along with his beloved Tar-Trooper Slarg, which he had brewed a few weeks after he was born.

The other dragons often ridiculed him for his odd attachment to dung beetles and such a foul-smelling familiar, but he could hardly care less. Even after his family distanced themselves from him, too embarrassed and ashamed to be seen anywhere near him, Dumpster continued living just as he always had, and life was good in the Foxfire Bramble.

One day, Dumpster went out for a walk, his Slarg clinging to his shoulder and his poop bugs beside him. He spotted a beautiful patch of glowing blue mushrooms, and sat down in front of it. He just sat there, gazing at the mushrooms in wonder and awe. Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the grass from somewhere behind him. He whipped around.

A young brown Imperial stepped into view, her Shadow eyes glinting in the sunlight. He ushered her over and to his surprise, she came. He was used to dragons scoffing and turning away when he attempted to speak to them. Dumpster later learned that her name was Scrap, and that she held a fondness for poop bugs as well. They immediately became the best of friends and spent everyday with each other, their familiars, and their poop bugs.

But ever since the Fae had met Scrap, he had sensed that something separated her from him. She adored nature in a way that he didn't (aside from his mushrooms that he now wore on his shoulder), enough for her Shadow eyes to take on the brilliant green of Nature eyes. Dumpster never followed her out to the forest, uninterested in its beauty. Instead, he spent his time reading and learning - with his poop bugs and his familiar by his side, of course. He read about the history of Sornieth, he learned to fight in the Coliseum (though he was rather bad at it), he learned to brew apparel, food, gene scrolls, you name it. In books and scrolls, he found the home that Scrap had found in nature.

Eventually, Scrap became curious of the Southern Icefield. The Floofdad Icewarden intrigued her as much as the Beardmomma Gladekeeper did. Dumpster and Scrap taught themselves to fly, and one day, Scrap had vanished. She had gone to the Cloudscrape Crags. But Dumpster stayed back, and he continued to live in the solemnity of the Tangled Woods, where he could read and unlock the secrets of the world, his Slarg and poop bugs by his side.
