Sisyphus;
- loved persephone for what she represented; a potential future of family, a love permitted by the Mother
- loved Lethe when she was born; a perfect prize, the result of a perfect coupling
- but sisyphus didn't love persephone, just the idea of her
- when she brought a ghoul into their home, with their newborn still fresh from the nest, Sisyphus was furious
- their child was infected, their other clan members dead before Pers or Sisyphus could react
- Sisyphus abandoned the clan, taking Lethe towards the wyrmwound for her trials
- persephone told sisyphus this was it, if he left now she was never coming back
- sisyphus said it was his choice to leave, his choice not to return, and she would never see him or his daughter again.
