What dreams tell us?
Darkness was everywhere around him, dense and sticky like oil, but not inanimate. It was pulsing, moving like a beating heart. He felt its warm body slowly squeezing him, embracing him. He felt his limbs going numb, his skin growing colder and colder by second. This...unnatural viper's poison was seeping into his veins, making his blood thicker. His pulse slowed down, his breath became shallow.
He knew whose fingers slowly touched his neck. His life was coming to an end. He was dying, alone, in the darkness...and he could only wait for his Soul to leave his body.

But then, out of a sudden, he heard...a voice. Sweet, childlike voice. Calling him by his name which he forgot after being trapped in this state. At the back of his head, he knew. This voice was familiar to him, it was important to him. His heart started racing, his eyes going wide. The darkness hissed like a furious snake. It didn't like how the table has been turned. He stood up finally being able to move his legs. He became aware of his own body, of strength that was asleep in him this whole time.

He roared, and that sound made the non-existing ceiling shake. The darkness felt threatened but as before tried to stop him, devour him. But he fought back, he had to find the source of this voice, sad and happy at the same time. So he ran, barely moving his legs at first, but soon realized how fast he could be. His rage gave him energy and will to fight.
His wings snapped open, trying to catch the wind and rise him of this sticky ground. But in darkness, there was no wind, no air, no breath. He could not fly, he had to run.

What are their meanings?
After what felt like eternity he saw small, gold light. Little flame, weakly shining in front of him. It looked ready to die out, to disappear. Fear made his heart beat faster. Something in him was screaming, hurrying him. He had to get to that light. Darkness was still following him. This was a life or death case, he knew this deep in his mind and heart.

The light started to flicker, voice grew quieter, less certain...full of dread.
He jumped, spreading his arms wide to embrace that light, pull it closer to his chest. He felt that soft, delicate warmth reaching under his skin and fur, touching his heart. His whole body felt incredibly light like he suddenly became a speck of dust. The darkness hissed with the voices of thousands of snakes...
And let go.

Blackness surrounding him became lighter, less frightening. Now, he could feel his whole body, soft grass touching his stomach and paws. He took a deep breath like someone emerging from water's depth. While he was trying to frantically remember the voice from his...dream, maybe nightmare was more suiting word, he felt a presence next to him.
Neither friendly nor hostile. Just before his eyes finally opened he heard a different voice.
"It is good to have you back with us, Nathaniel. Come with me, your Clan and your Lady need you"

The changes...they came suddenly, struck him like lightning hitting a lonely tree.
They did not hurt...not as much as he thought they would be. His limbs elongated, his claws became sharper, his fangs sprung out of his maw.
He was stronger now, more powerful than he could ever be as a Tundra dragon.
Now he felt like a leader capable of protecting his clan.
Even if they were to fear him.
