Hemorrhage Is the Arch Priestess of the Stricken and was one of the first to join the clan. Apart from Aldera she is the most respected dragon, many would describe her as being the second in command as well as the leader of the clan’s religious activities. Her fearsome presence can be felt even before she enters a room. She spends most of her time in the great hall tending to the shrine.

She has developed a form of music which she uses in her ceremonies and prayers to the Plague Mother. It comprises entirely of instruments made from the deformed bones of creatures that were mutated by wasteland plagues. It has taken centuries for her to build her collection and to hone her skill, the result is hauntingly beautiful and incredibly complex. Had she been born into any other flight she might have been hailed as a musical genius, as it stands she views her music as purely devotional with no value as entertainment or art. Palan is incredibly envious of this skill and has been trying in vain to learn the strange instruments and imitate Hemorrhage’s style to little avail.

When Aldera invited the Druidess Moss to join the clan Hemorrhage did not raise an issue and despite the pleas of her flock did not attempt to dissuade Aldera or start up a new clan. She simply said, “Only the dead do not change” in response to their complaints. She began to spend a lot of time in discussion with Moss. She has a deep respect for the druidess as a woman of faith. Moss has become the closest thing Hemorrhage has to a friend apart from Aldera.

She has a close maternal relationship with her acolytes Calavera and Lucia. She tends to chose dragons from other flights as her proteges as she feels overcoming one’s elemental alignment is one of the greatest commitments to a deity a dragon can make. Lucia came to Hemorrhage lost and filled with aimless anger, but with her guidance became focused though perhaps a little too aggressive in her zeal but through discipline and practice Hemorrhage felt safe elevating her to the rank of Senior Priestess. When Hemorrhage made Calavera a Junior Plague priest Lucia was incredibly hurt and their relationship still suffers. Hemorrhage believes it is important to have the different aspects of the goddess embodied in her priesthood. While she is the goddesses’ majesty and brutality and Lucia is her indifference and deathliness neither of them possess what Calavera represents; her infectiousness and mutability. Calavera simply adores Hemorrhage and follows her around like a shadow unless he is occupied by planning a party or socializing.
