The wind takes many things along them,
Petals of the rose scattered everywhere from snow to sea.
The heart follows the path as the mind seeks for more,
For a philosopher's lover is ever flowing and never free.

If wanderlust had a face, it would be Amchur's. Free-spirited and curious, this dragon never stays long in any place. His one true love is travelling, discovering new vistas or seeing how old ones changed although he isn't much for meeting up with the locals. His haphazard quest for truth has led him to believe that it can only ever be found in the concrete appearances of things, not in their past or cultural significance.
There are only three things in Sornieth that will inevitably draw Amchur away from his travels and back to them. When the sights start to blend with one another and nostalgia creeps in his mind, he heads to the Windswept Plateau. There is not a place in the world that is better suited to lifting spirits and hearts high above the clouds. When the weight of his travels starts to make his wings grow heavy, he heads to the everchanging yet timeless Southern Icefields for some meditative time. Watching the Ice Floes slowly shifting is a humbling lesson in patience and a beautiful sight to behold. Migrating from a secret lair on one of its humongous glaciers to another is an altogether more thrilling experience he partakes in whenever he gets the chance.
Coincidently, it's also in the Southern Icefields that the third and last earthly thing drawing Amchur lies.
His mate, Adrak.
They met when Adrak was still living in the Sea of a Thousand Currents and looking to follow his visions. Amchur proposed to accompany the youger dragon on his quest, knowing the specific landmark he was trying to reach. Heading through the Windswept Plateau, they ended up lost for a while after wrongfully trusting the wind to guide them south. Despite this, they ended up bonding with one another; after all, being lost in a territory designed to inspire joy to those in it is hardly the end of the world. For the first and only time in his life, Amchur was tempted to truly settle down, to find place with his mate in the Cloudsong and ride the intoxicating winds from dusk till dawn and nest together at night. He devoted himself to convincing Adrak to stay, despite the younger dragon's reluctance to abandon his quest. In the end, however, Adrak's visions made staying impossible. As if sensing he might not follow them in the end, they quickly grew more frequent and more violent, to the point where they became very visibly life threatening. Amchur was forced to abandon his dream or lose his mate altogether and so the two set out once more to the south.
Amchur attempted to stay once they had reached their destination and Adrak's no home and clan, but it was as if a spell had been broken. He stayed as long as he could but his wanderlust quickly won. Nowadays, he's treated more like a frequent visitor and less like an actual clan member but it doesn't trouble him. He's allowed to come and go, spend time with his mate and even help them migrate and that's all he could ever ask for.
