Biography
Scientist for the clan, v gay and v smart.
Spice was born to a kind clan. They all cared for him, although he never cared back. He was always confused why. Why would they care for a dragon that is unintelligent, selfish, a bit apathetic and terrible at their job? To be fair, he was pushed into being a scientist by his parents. Although his clanmates were kind, it was in the plastic, over-sugary way that he absolutely despised. He knew that, behind his back, they gave him looks of disgust, talking about how terrible of a scientist he was or how boring and withdrawn he was.
He wouldn’t take it anymore. Spice was up and gone one day, knowing fully well no one would follow after him. For some time, he wandered about, visiting clans and trading but never truly staying. Throughout his travels, he got tips and tricks from those in the science community, learning how to actually do his job as a scientist. There weren’t any eye-catching clans, though. None of them were worth it for him to settle down.
At least, not until he saw Ketsueki. Gods, the red Imperial was so beautiful to Spice. Ketsueki was one of the reasons Spice decided to stay with this clan at the Starfall Isles. The other reason was that he’d heard rumors of how studious the Arcanist and his children were. It’d be the perfect place for a scientist. The day Spice met Ketsueki was the day he gave up his life as a nomad.
His new clan accepted him fairly quick. Although they weren’t forcing him, Spice decided to continue his path as a scientist. His clanmates genuinely supported his path, some dragons even offering to teach him how to use the equipment, as he hadn’t seen everything in his old clan. Even though he’d work with dozens of others in the science field, that was about the only type of social interaction he’d make. Outside of the workplace, he’d avoid other dragons, not trying to make friends with them.
One of the only dragons he spoke to that wasn’t work-related was Ketsueki. Spice was absolutely awkward around him, and somehow always embarrassed himself, as if some force out there was trying to ruin his chances with his crush. Ketsueki remained happily oblivious about Spice’s affection and attempts to gain his, despite the fact that a few dragons that Spice actually called friends were constantly hinting his feelings.
Over time, Spice started to get better around others. Around Ketsueki, he worked on his clumsiness and awkwardness. On other dragons, he worked on his talking and avoiding freezing up when an overly-assertive dragon would come and say hello all of a sudden, catching him off guard and causing him to become a sweating and stuttering mess. Spice has gotten better, more used to his life now, with no plastic dragons with false smiles.
For once, Spice was actually, genuinely happy with dragons that cared about him all around him. It was such an amazing feeling, he swore he’d do anything to keep it from being taken away from him.
