Haanu is a kunoichi, a female ninja, native to the windswept plateau. As cute as she is, she is large for a female spiral and is considered by many to be the strongest dragon in Takemachi.

In addition to her strenght, Haanu has also been occasionally talented at simple magic tricks. She can disappear without a trace. As a ninja, Haanu often takes the night watch, disguised as a lantern bearer. She lights the way for geisha and patrons who are journeying through Takemachi under the dark cover of night. This proves very useful for the kunoichi, as many dragons tend to have loose tongues after hours of parties and games. She tends to gather the most valuable intel at these wee hours.

Yorubi, a fellow ninja, is Haanu's on-and-off boyfriend. They have a very turbulent romance that their boss has repeatedly forbade. In addition to the forbidden love aspect, they are also very... Dramatic, for lack of a better word. Constantly competing and trying to one-up each other makes for an interesting life. However, their relationship has become more visible in Takemachi, a small town where rumors tumble easily in the breeze. Ninjas should be be invisible to the public eye, but everyone loves a good romance and these two have quite the following. Unbeknowenst to their war lord boss, they have had baby dragons who they promptly sent to better care in an exaltation ceremony. Their children now are among the Windsinger's most faithful servants, having grown up to be ninja themselves.
