Glaurung

Traveling was more chaotic than Glaurung ever imagined. The sights, the places, the people. A traveler could see something extraordinary one moment, and be in mortal danger the next. He was weary and injured by the time he arrived at the Tribe of the Endless Dusk, and stayed for a long while. The Beacon Inn became refuge to him and as he recovered his strength he regained his curiosity. Fortunately, there were plenty of interesting sorts to see. From the elusive tree spirit to the battle-scarred "pirate" captain with a tale to tell that he wouldn't have believed had he not seen so much already, there was plenty of dragons to talk to (or, in the dryad's case, admire from afar). There were fresh cups of tea and dancing and a tranquil forest to wander when their love of festivals became too tiring. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to those he had met there, but he was eager to set his sights on somewhere else. He had been in the domain of others too long: it was time to return to - or find - a home of his own.
