Faceted eyes: Dragons with faceted eyes see the world through a myriad of lenses, with each image providing one version of the truth. They see reality as complex and filled with potential - at once paradoxical and inherently consistent. They are experts at quickly taking in stimuli, whether it be visual or metaphysical, and combining it into a single whole. As Necromancers they excel in the role of counselor or diplomat because they can synthesize diverse perspectives and use them to create a guiding path forward. If a common-eyed dragon emerges from the trials with faceted eyes it can indicate a fracturing of the psyche. Strain and stress may have disrupted the dragon’s sense of self, leading to harmful or irrational behavior. Some of these dragons will descend into madness while others learn to rebuild their disrupted mental pathways into a type of clairvoyance, emerging as respected seers.

A young Mirror barked at Escherichia: "It's not advised to travel alone in the Plaguelands." His companions laughed. The clan had maybe fifteen dragons, all of them covered in scars from the previous battles.
"It is not advised to annoy a Necromancer,'"she replied and went back to observing a colorful frog she had noticed a few minutes ago.

She had arrived at the Scarred Wasteland a few days ago minding her business. She was born in the Fire Flight, belonged in the Light clan, but the Wyrmwound was where she had become who she was now and she liked coming back here once in a while. Many have been asking - why Light? Why not stay in the Plaguelands for good? She would always give them a different answer. Not because she did not know, but simply because she did not care. It was a stupid question anyway.
But this time she had a reason to be in the Wyrmwound. Celiac had asked to gather some supplies for his research. She would normally joke and tell him to do it himself, but he had been really busy recently, so she had decided to cut him some slack. Besides, she knew much more about poisons and toxins than he did.

"A Necromancer, right," snorted the Mirror. "Call yourself what you will, you're still outnumbered."
"And you're still outmatched."
"Oh, chill out," said a green Wildclaw female from the back. "We're just having some fun, smile!"
"I will when you go away."
The Mirror sighed. "We don't have time for this," he said to his companions and then looked at Escherichia. "Give us whatever you have, leave, and we might just spare your life."
"You really can't take a hint, can you?" said the Ridgeback. Now she looked the Mirror straight in the eyes, finally giving him full attention.
"That you're a Necromancer? Do I look like I care?"
"You should."
"Well, I don't. Do whatever you want, show us your great powers, and then do what we told you to or you won't live to see another day."
Escherichia smiled a bit. "Be careful what you wish for," she said and raised her wing.

The Mirror's legs started to shake. At first only slightly, but soon the dragon fell down and could not control his own body.
"What are you doing to me?" His voice sounded weak and the words almost unintelligible.
"First there's the shaking," she said calmly. "Then you start aching all over, lose your sight and begin having trouble breathing. And then you die, usually due to suffocation." She did not seem bothered by the state of the dragon. She looked at the tiny frog. "A poisonous dart frog," she said. "A Ranitomeya to be precise." Escherichia looked at the Mirror again. "That's how her poison works. Well, more or less. And of course she wouldn't be able to make the symptoms so severe in an adult Mirror. But guess what, I am."
The rest of the dragons took a few steps back.
"Not so brave anymore, huh?" Escherichia looked at them and said in a cold voice: "Leave."
She did not have to repeat.
The Ridgeback looked at the Mirror. "You are staying here."
Then she turned her sight to the tiny frog. It was perfect for Celiac's experiments. "And you are coming with me."
