Teknat came to the clan to learn the art of healing from Inara and quickly became utterly smitten, much to his embarrassment. Nonetheless, he did his very best to act the consummate professional as they trained together, though his serthis companion and Inara's both thought his attempts were hilarious and did their very best to throw him off.

Luckily for him, Inara found his quirks - frequent glasses-cleaning being the most common - rather endearing instead of annoying from the beginning. When she asked him to be her mate he just about passed out, much to the amusement of Inara and the serthises. He did accept once he remembered how to say words, and the two have been happily mated ever since.

Teknat has come to be known as the clan softie, and when certain members of the clan get into trouble - nobody will say Tekav, but everyone’s thinking it - they tend to go to him to get patched up. His fussing and pampering is much preferable to Inara’s brusque, pointed lecturing and icily disapproving glares.

♥ INARA (his wife & fellow healer) Few others can break through his stuttering, nervous shell like she can, with a calm, steady patience that sets him at ease.

♡ TEKAV (a friend (and frequent patient)) Teknat's usually the one to patch Tekav up after a misadventure - "fondly exasperated" encompasses his feelings fairly well, though he does wish he'd see Tekav when he's not shamefacedly clutching a wound more often.

♡ KAVEH (his serthis companion) His chemical knowledge helps Teknat prepare his extremely effective poultices.

♡ MUROC (his son) Teknat is distraught to be estranged from his son, wanting nothing more than for him to return home.

✒ A FRIENDLY KISS Tekav has an unfortunate habit of getting himself into accidents, but Teknat is always there to patch him up.
