Biography

Ages ago, a plague swept through the northern hills of Dragonhome; she was one of its unfortunate victims. Her clan managed to give her a respectable burial in the Cairnstone Rest, and for many years left gifts of precious stones and hardy flowers to decorate her tomb and honor her vibrant memory. For centuries her sleep went undisturbed, until one day a heartbroken dragon came to the quiet mausoleums with ill-gotten knowledge on a quest to take their mate back from death. The ritual went horribly right; not only did the dragon's mate come back to life, but so did dozens of other dragons whose bodies had long since petrified in their long rest.

For the first time in countless years, she opened her eyes. She saw that she was underground, and while such a place usually feels quite homey for an Earth dragon, she felt an urgent compulsion to hurry to the surface at once. It was only as she wearily crossed the threshold of the Cairnstone Rest and squinted her rejuvenated eyes against the lively sunlight that she realized the significance of her sight; memories of her long-gone first life and eventual death came rushing back. She was alive again!

The first living dragons she encountered were from the Diabase Demesne, a clan that had several other living fossils in its ranks, who helped her get back on her feet and adjust to the sudden change. She found it hard to get used to the modern civilizations of Sornieth, so very different in its ways from her old clan, but she is determined to make the most of her second chance. Her past, and fossilized body, may be set in stone, but in her future anything is possible.
