Biography

paperpony_world_tour_by_kiwicide_dciym2z.png

"Every flower is beautiful and has its own unique story."
Football Mums RubyFlutter is a lover of all things rainbow, flowers and butterflies. Often seen flitting around in flower filled fields she begged her mother every day for permission to leave her clan and wander the world in search of every type of flower.
Eventually her mother realized her daughter wouldn't give up her dream and finally gave her permission to leave.

Overjoyed RubyFlutter left her clan to see every type of flower in the world.
Starting Clan: PaperPony's Clan

Clan Improbable (Seige)

Clan Improbable
Ancient Lair of the Tempest Spire

Dear Mom and Pop,

I promised I would write and the dragons of Clan Improbable promised to get this letter to you.

I should have paid more attention at lessons. Did anyone ever teach us that it isn’t safe to be around the Spire during a storm, no matter how pretty the cacti flowers are? Ambrosius and Ancilla told me that and made me come with them. I wonder why the Lightning dragons aren’t in danger.

The first place they took me was Harpy’s Roost. Yes, Mother, I finally got a little of the training I’ve been dodging. Why didn’t anyone tell me that the beasts drop flowers when they run. That almost makes the whole messy thing worth it. Turns out, you can’t stay at their clan without some training. When I heard that almost all of the clan were the highest-level warriors I was a little nervous. But everyone was very nice. Their clan leader, jewel, did gently scold me for leaving home with no battle training. (I’m glad I’m not there to hear you say “told you so”.) Of course, jewel had to talk through an interpreter, being a Fae. Her interpreter is a Tundra named Dawn who used to be a Coatl! How ubercool is that? He even speaks fluent Coatl. It’s freaky to see -- especially when he starts a sentence in Draconic and finishes it in Coatl.

I’ve seen some flowers, but not as many as I want to. They’re letting me be on the foraging team tomorrow. Lots and lots of plants. Thanks again for letting me come on my grand adventure. Hope everyone is well at home. I expect I’ll be back someday, but there are a lot of flowers to see between now and then. I miss you all.

Love from the intrepid traveler,
Flut

P.S -- I got a walking flower familiar while foraging. It's purple! Now I won’t be traveling alone.

Starhaven (Kiwicide's Clan)

RubyFlutter wandered around the dark woods, wishing she had brought a lantern along to light her way. It it weren’t for the moon and the barren trees, it would have been impossible for her to see anything at all. “Maybe we should have stayed at the rest stop until morning.” She said to her purple-petaled friend. The small creature was riding along on her back, its vine-like limbs holding onto RubyFlutter’s feathers. The creature gave a silent nod as RubyFlutter carried on, taking them deeper into the woods.

She wasn’t sure how far they’d gone but in the distance she could see something twinkling, like thousands of stars. “What... what is that?” RubyFlutter couldn’t really tell from where she was and her curiosity got the better of her. “Let’s take a look, Violet.” Her familiar held on a bit tighter, a little afraid of what they might find. “It’ll be alright. What it is, it doesn’t look dangerous.” RubyFlutter stepped over a rock and ducked under a low branch. “Not as dangerous as these woods seem to be. How can anyone even travel through this mess?”

As they got closer to the twinkling lights, RubyFlutter could make out more skinny trees like the ones currently surrounding them. “It looks like.... more trees....” she sighed and her head hung in disappointment. “It’s probably just some lanterns someone hung up.” Discouraged, RubyFlutter turned to head back the way she came, maybe it wasn’t too late to go back to that rest stop and stay there for the night.

But instead of heading back, RubyFlutter ended up taking a tumble down a hillside she didn’t see before. She hit branches on her way down and collided with something large, sending it tumbling to the ground with her. “Ow ow ow!” RubyFlutter said and she tried to right herself. “Violet?! Are you okay?” She heard a small cry and followed it. She saw Violet climb her way to the top of a massive green form. “Oh! I’m so sorry!” RubyFlutter hurried over to the dragon and collected her familiar. “I didn’t see where I was going and I fell down the hill. Are you okay?”

The Guardian pushed herself off the ground and shook her head to shake off the twigs from her hood. “Yes, dear, I’m okay. Are you and your friend okay?”

“Yes. Yes we are.” RubyFlutter looked up the larger dragon but her gaze drifted even higher at the lights above her... only they weren’t lights at all. “Oh my...” RubyFlutter was in awe of the luminescent blooms around her. So they weren’t lanterns afterall!

“Magical, aren’t they?” The Guardian said, smiling up at the flowers fondly. “They’re the blossoms of the Starwood Strand. They only bloom at night so I try to come here as often as I can to see them.” She looked down at the young Coatl. “My name is Grimala, by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Oh!” RubyFlutter felt her face flush bit from embarrassment. “Sorry, my name is RubyFlutter and this is Violet.” Violet peeked out from behind her owner. Grimala smiled at her and Violet brightened up. “So these flowers only bloom at night? Every night?” RubyFlutter wanted to know as much as she could about these wondrous flowers. She’d never seen anything like them before.

Grimala nodded. “Yes, every night. I come here to gather herbs and plants regularly but I try to come at night when the blossoms bloom. It’s very relaxing.”

“It really is. I could stay here forever and stare at them.” RubyFlutter couldn’t help the smile on her face. The brilliant flowers had a very tranquil effect to them that was putting her at ease. “Are you foraging now?”

“I am, actually.” Grimala pointed over to a patch greenery that looked like weeds. “I use a lot of the foragables around here to create potions and I was running low on manaweed.”

RubyFlutter took a closer look at the small purple flowers. “I can help you gather some. I was recently on a foraging team so I have some experience.”

“That would be lovely, dear.” Grimala smiled at RubyFlutter. “There are usually some more patches of manaweed near those two trees.” She pointed in the direction of the trees and RubyFlutter headed to them with Violet following close behind.

Grimala and RubyFlutter spent most of the night foraging for manaweed and talking about the flowers of the Starwood Strand. As it got even later, Grimala offered to let RubyFeather stay with her for the night. The Coatl was very happy to have a warm place to sleep for the night and even more so that she got to spend some time with a very nice dragon. Grimala seemed to know a lot about many subjects and she seemed to be well loved by her clan.

The next day Grimala packed some treats and prepared a gift for RubyFlutter. “Are you sure?” RubyFlutter asked and Grimala nodded. “Thank you!” She smiled and Violet gave a happy chirp.

“I hope those treats make a good snack on your journey. There’s even some for little Violet, too.” Violet chirped again and Grimala chuckled. “I also hope you enjoy the flower. You kept looking at them all night while we gathered the manaweed so I picked one for you. It’s enchanted and will never wilt. Each night it will bloom. The bottle will keep it safe but you’re free to remove it. May it remind you of your time in Starhaven and some day bring you back for another visit.” With one final hug and well wishes, RubyFlutter and Violet left Starhaven for their next destination.

Items Acquired:
+ homemade treats from Grimala
+ an enchanted blossom from the Starwood Strand

Nightkeeper Sanctum (Darkesty

At some point, RubyFlutter had wandered over to the Tangled Wood. She mostly saw some clovers and plants, but she couldn't see any flowers. Sure the glowing mushrooms were bautiful, but they weren't flowers. Her small companion was riding on her back, so she was moving crafully among the branches and rotted logs.

Suddenly Violet tugged on her wings, as if trying to tell her something. "What is it Violet?" she asked. Her companion pointed towards something with one of its small limbs. As she turned to look in the direction, she noticed a small lair in the distance. What was most peculiar about it was that there were a lot of flowers, roses and violets, growing there.

There was a small fae tending to them, her wings also covered in roses. RubyFlutter briefly wondered how she could fly, but maybe the set of wings above the fae's own were the reason? As she walked closer, a spiral approached her. "Hello there. My name is Seirlan and you're at Nightkeeper Sanctum. Are you here to seek help? Or are you just passing by?" the spiral asked her.

"Oh I was just passing by and noticed those beautiful flowers. I want to know, why are her wings covered in roses? And what type of roses are those? I've never seen them before" RubyFlutter told her as she gestured to the small fae. "Oh that's our matriarch. She isn't really open about the roses, as they are quite personal to her. The roses themselves are quite special, as they seem to be imbued with some strange magic only she knows" the spiral said and lead her to the others.

They talked about flowers for hours until she decided it was time to continue her journey. As she was leaving, a fae approached her. "I heard you were interested in the roses, but I couldn't talk her into giving you one. So have some of our violets, although they may not be as lovely" he said as he handed the flowers to her. RubyFlutter thanked the small fae and took the offered flowers, placing them atop her head.

She couldn't wait to see what flowers were waiting for her at her next destination

Item received: Violet Flowers

Quarteshy Clan (Maevepanda)

Fields of flowers stretched out around RubyFlutter. She moved her claws over the soft flowers, debating if she would pick one or not. A gentle breeze moved over RubyFlutter's fur, cooling her from the midday sun. Finally deciding to pick one, she bend down and held tight to the stem of a blue flower and pulled it out of the ground.

"That blue compliments your fur."

RubyFlutter looked up, a little shaken by the sudden voice breaking the peace and silence around her. She looked at a red Fae, holding an orange flower. The Fae held the flower up, looking at it.

"This type of flower has the ability the heal burn wounds when combined with certain types of gems or scales but sometimes it can cause a reaction that results in-" She suddenly stopped. "I was rambling again, wasn't I? I'm sorry, I can be a little chaotic at times! Oh, my name is Lavena, by the way."

Lavena smiled at RubyFlutter. She smiled back, still trying to process all the information she just heard. The Coatl had already forgotten half of it - she didn't need to remember anyway.

"I'm RubyFlutter. I'm traveling Sornieth to see as many flowers as possible!" She practically beamed when telling her goal. Lavena lit up too, smiling from ear to ear. She grabbed RubyFlutters paw and pulled her towards her clan.

"I know someone you have to meet! His name is Arturo and he loves flowers too! You will adore him, I assure you."

RubyFlutter let herself be pulled to the clan by Lavena. She needed a place to stay anyway, maybe she could spend the night here?

Lavena let go of RubyFlutter and flew over to a young Spiral boy. He stopped his task, and gave his full attention to the Fae, listening to whatever she told him. He looked over at RubyFlutter and waved at her. Lavena screamed a goodbye from a distance and flew away as suddenly as she had appeared. The Spiral made his way over to RubyFlutter.

"Hi, I'm Arturo." He took her paw to shake it. "Lavena said you're a flower fanatic? I know some really good collecting spots around here. We could pick some flowers together tomorrow if you like." He smiled that kind of smile that made you feel at ease immediately. RubyFlutter smiled back.

"Sounds good. Although, I don't have a place to stay for the night yet,"

"Oh, I have enough space in my lair! You can stay as long as you please."

They spend the rest of the day in Arturo's lair. RubyFlutter told him everything she had seen so far, and Arturo listened with great interest. It was the start of a new friendship, ready to bloom.

Acquired: New friendship with Arturo

Unnamed Clan (Rookie)

The dragons of my next clan were… surprising. If you met them, you’d ask yourself “Why are these dragons living together?”. I even asked that one evening, and no one had an answer. There’s a former god, a plague god, a dragon stuck in purgatory, and two normal dragons who somehow got caught up in this mess.

They also live in the Southern Icefield. With no ice dragons. They’ve noticed this absurdity and are wondering if they should move to nature. At least there’d be flowers there.

Not only did the main group not make sense, there was also a constant influx of new, strange dragons. The clan trains warriors to send them off to the Icewarden, so far nearly a hundred since I arrived. That may not be much compared to other clans, but until now I never knew just how big this “dominance” thing is. I’m glad I have my familiar with me, the comfort is greatly appreciated.

They allowed me to join one of their training sessions. The Ghostlight Ruins is terrifying! I’ll stick to the flower-filled Training Fields, thank you very much.

Even with their quirks (…to put it kindly) they can be quite nice. With some of the profits from the training they bought me a corsage and a woodbasket. A poisonous one, but they said it wouldn’t harm me if I was careful. At least I can store more flowers in it!

It was a very interesting experience, but I won’t be returning. They’re thinking about enlisting a pirate. As if their lack of theme wasn’t chaotic enough!

Acquired: violet corsage, poisonous woodbasket, level 10

Olympian gardens clan(Yvainestar5)

Rubyflutter had seen so many flowers of all shapes and sizes.
She missed her family though she know her mom was searching for her.
What happened to those letters.
Then a young imperial approached her.
"Hello traveler." she said.
"Hello there little one." she said with a smile.
The imperial pointed west and disappeared.
Into thin air.
Rubyflutter flew in the direction the dragon pointed and found a dragon she seemed recognized.
"MOM " She called and grabbed her. Tears fell down her scales" I have missed you so much."
Her mom pulled away and held her at arm's length. " Look how you've grown my little rose."
A pink imperial smiled at the happy reunion. Rubyflutter took off her bag and flower crown and handed to it her.
"Thank you." she said.
The imperial accepted the crown and flew off.
Rubyfluttr turned back to her daughter. "I have so many tales to tell you mother.'

FrozenSpire Lair ~ (xXSnowStormXx)

She looked down at the note that was delivered to her, it's coordinates were confusing but she believed she was where she should be. A large and very old tree towered in front of her, butterflies crowing around the flowers that bloomed off it's branches. It truly was a beautiful sight. A lone PearlCatcher perched upon a boulder below the tree, his gaze lifted from the pearl caught in his talons. His expression was hard to see under his armour he wore. He limped towards her, removing his helmet with his talons. RubyFlutter noticed his scarred injured leg, it was supported by the floating pearl below it.

``Hello!`` RubyFlutter greeted him joyfully.

``I see your the one that was given the note`` He nodded.

A druidic emblem floated in front of his horn. Her gaze setting on his leg again, this PearlCatcher was young he must've been in war. He gestured with his talons to follow him.
RubyFlutter reached the boulder, the PearlCatcher removed his armour, revealing his stunning green colours.

``The name is Harvey by the way`` He smiled.

``RubyFlutter`` She answered back.

She hear a rustle in the branches above her, noticing a white and grey figure shifting through the leaves.
``Hibiscus! Come down from there, you have a guest!`` He shouted up to the figure.

It rushed out of the leaves, revealing the roses dotted along her body, she soared down and landed gracefully a meter away from Harvey.

``So your here to witness the butterfly migration?`` She spoke in an intimidating tone.

Although RubyFlutter towered over then her, she felt small in the Nocturnes presents. She nodded towards Hibiscus. She seemed to smile, she ran stretching her wing. Hovering in front of the tree she let out a furious roar, the butterflies fled from the flowers and began to circle her. RubyFlutter stared on in amazement. Hibiscus began to soar away, over the Nature territory, a trail of butterflies following along behind her.

``She has quite the talent`` Harvey spoke softly, his gaze was soft, fixing on Hibiscus.

``That was beautiful!`` RubyFlutter watched Hibiscus fade off in the clouds.

``Here, take this to remember your visit`` Harvey smiled, in his talons he held out a lily.

RubyFlutter took it gently and held it in her jaws. She waved goodbye and flew off, to where she didn't know, but she knew there was adventure to be had where she ends up next.

Acquired: Heatherbed Lily, Knowledge Of The ButterFly Migration

foxghosts' Clan

The Scarred Wasteland didn't exactly bloom with beautiful wildlife, but what little flora it did have to offer was truly fascinating. RubyFlutter was admiring a thick bush of cindermint, collecting the leaves and pocketing them gently, when a voice startled him from behind. He whirled around, defensive at first, but relaxed when he saw a gentle-looking skydancer.

"I didn't mean to startle you," she said with a gentle smile. A basket tied around her waist clattered against her legs, full to the brim with leaves. "My name is Kisha. I'm the herbalist for a nearby clan, I was just coming by to collect some of those," she said, nodding at the leaves clutched in RubyFlutter's hands.
"Oh!" RubyFlutter exclaimed, holding some of the cindermint out. "My apologies. I'm RubyFlutter, I'm on a...quest, of sorts. To travel Sornieth and see as much flora as I can!"

Kisha's eyes lit up excitedly. "My dear, I have an entire garden of native plants in my den," she said, beckoning the coatl to follow her. RubyFlutter fell in step beside her and she continued, "I provide most of the herbs for my clan, while my mate cares for insects. The wildlife in the Wasteland is like nothing I've ever seen!"
RubyFlutter nodded along enthusiastically, occasionally getting distracted by an odd-looking plant that poked up through the acrid ground of the Wasteland.

The two of them arrived at Verivala, stepping into the clan's territory. Suspicious glances were thrown RubyFlutter's way, but nobody questioned him. Kisha lead him over to her den, where a beautiful display of all sorts of flora decorated the walls and floors.
"Pick what you like!" she said. "There's plenty to go around."
