Note: His companion Firarinii is perfectly matched with his dreary personality as she has the patience of a saint and the iron fist of an emperor.

True to his nature, Kaba is a fairly grumpy Aloe. He’s straight forward and to the point, often forgetting, or not even caring to use common courtesies and formalities. This makes him nearly impossible to work with as he’s very stubborn and already set in his ways for such a young dragon. He can seem gruff and uncaring, but he does have a soft side to him. It’s rarely ever shown, but it’s most often seen in the presence of his mate. That being said, Kaba can be incredibly patient when the situation calls for it. Usually that mean his research, he still would rather not bother with other dragons.

Kaba is a more sickly Aloe Vera, like his father. Due to this he cannot always come out of his quarters which frustrates him endlessly. Aviva is usually the only one who can calm him down enough so he can get the rest he needs to function properly.

Strength

Strength has never mattered to Kaba, he’d rather spend time in his laboratory than test his meager fighting skills. His sickly condition would make pursuing strength a waist of time. His strength is statted at two simply because of his shear size. In terms of Imperial to Imperial, he has little more than a year old hatchling’s strength.

Magic

Again, Kaba’s body cannot handle much physical stress. Thus he is also a very weak magic user. While his mind is very adept, he cannot call forth the energy required to cast unless under life or death circumstances. In the aforementioned situation, he can cast a single Envenom spell that should be enough to allow his escape. However he will be fairly sick for several days afterward and may be forced to shed a few of his leaves.

Defense

Kaba’s defense is about as sad as it gets. He has the vitality of a field mouse which is why he avoids physical conflict at all cost. Now, for a battle of wits one must come prepared to be thoroughly beaten by his vast knowledge and sharp tongue.

History:

Kaba came to the sanctuary seeking to further his father’s research by finding a way to make the more sickly Aloe Vera Dragons healthy again. His traveling companion Firarinii often sends correspondence for him since he keeps himself quite busy in the Sanctuaries vast gardens. He’s there so much that the Sanctuary’s leader, Flazenari, has offered to build him his own space in the gardens as long as he gives a healing hand where needed. He agreed, this he has a permanent place in the Seven Pillars Sanctuary.

Months later, after many attempts to find a cure, he hit a roadblock in his research. About this time, the Sanctuary leader came to visit and presented him with a gift of sorts. A small coatl stared up at him, fairly young by the looks of it. He huffed irritably and argued with Flazenari for a while, claiming he had no time to pup-sit. She waved him off chortling in amusement. She claimed that if he were more observant, he would realize what a gift the little female was. With that final jab at his pride she flitted away with a jingle from the chimes on her silks. Seething with irritation at her jab, he left the hatchling to Firarinii while he shut himself in his laboratory for a few days.

Several days later he burst from his laboratory looking as exited as a pup on its second Hatchday. He called out for Firarinii as he rushed to find her. When he finally found her, she was with the small Coatl. He explained his excitement eagerly. This pup he’d been “gifted” was a new anomaly in the Aloe Vera Condition as their gel has extreme healing properties-

He was cut short by his Centaurian companion. She crossed her arms and stomped her hooves, making it clear the little hatchling was NOT an experimental subject. Kaba gasped in shock, he immediately began back pedaling as he did not intend to sound as if he’d ever do such a thing. After calming the situation, he suggested heading to the laboratory to show the pup around. He also made arrangements to build her, her own space in the gardens.
