Something was wrong with Bea's eyes.
She broke through her egg like any other hatchling, squawking indignantly at the light and cold of the world compared to the warmth of her egg. But when she blinked up at the faces of her parents, their hearts stopped momentarily.
Bea's eyes were dark, a deep solid purple fading to pink where the iris would be. Scattered about were white flecks dotting through the sclera. At first glance, Avi and Raya feared she was blind, but their daughter blinked again, before chirping a happy hello at her parents.
Aside from the initial fear, Bea's childhood was relatively average. She did well in her classes, made friends, found comfort in a familiar, all around living a sheltered life. Her parents kept her under the canopy of Qima's branches, so the shade of the tree was all she knew. She turned her speckled eyes to books, and devoured every bit of information she could.
When, after months of begging and pleading and "I'll show you how good I can be"s, Avi finally allowed her to come with him on a trip, Bea nearly lost her little mind with excitement. Finally, she could see if her books were true, if everything was magical and out-of-this-world amazing.
Bea soon discovered that travelling is hard on your feet and your wings. Even worse was that most of her books seemed to have stretched the truth. She soon learned that wind dragons cannot fly forever, that the gods don't come down to speak blessings on their followers, and that animals don't actually talk to you, and will, in fact, run or scratch your nose if you try to chase them for a conversation.
But then, night fell, and the sparks in Bea's eyes met their sisters in the stars, and Bea realized just how guardians felt when they found their charge. In that moment, she fell in love.

Every part of this baby says I should not like it. I don't like bright pinks and purples. And yet, Bea has somehow stolen my heart with those bright bubblegum hues. She's just the right amount of "burn your eyes out with neon colors" and "perfectly balanced color theory" and it both makes me irrationally angry but terribly pleased. An astronomer background suits her perfectly, the halo she has plays on not only her colors but her skin and apparel, and the opal tert ties it together seamlessly. Every part of her is wonderfully balanced and not overdone at all- a difficult thing to achieve and yet you've done it well.

Bea's beautiful eye-popping accent sets her apart from the others with the contrast to her more muted brown natural tones! She reminds me of a stunning sunset, except hers is far more intriguing with the deep violets bringing nightfall in curious haste. The spiral art is perfectly befitting your description of her naievety and excitement towards the unknown world. I can't wait to see what discoveries she makes for herself outside of the world of those books.

Bea is also gorgeous- I see why Nomia likes her haha. I love that she's an astronomer, and that her colours, eyes, and even familiar reflect that :) I find spirals are hard to dress (not sure if you're the same) but either way kudos to you for picking apparel that once again really reflects her personality.
