Fortuna caeca est bloodline - "Fortune is blind."
Memento mori (Latin: "remember that you have to die") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality, especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits. Memento mori has been an important part of ascetic disciplines as a means of perfecting the character by cultivating detachment and other virtues, and by turning the attention towards the immortality of the soul and the afterlife. This curse would be traced down his lineage. All Vigil's children were destined to die, like any dragon. But they would be given a second chance. It was up to the children if they would accept the bargain.

Personality
Can't remember...he can't remember. He was sure there was something important, but he can't remember. Nothing about who is is...er, was. All he remembers is intense fear something and then the world going black for a time. It was like waking up from a dream, a dream where he was once a young man only to be a giant lizard the next. Being forced into a foreign body he didn't recognize as his own. Still being riddled with constant unbridled fear and confusion. Not sure if he should constantly looking over his shoulder or paranoid about what could be around every corner. Unable to whole heartily trust anyone, haunted by visions of the past life that got cut short. His brain still desperately trying to remember what happened, who he was, who he's supposed to be. Mirrors never reflected the person Kronos remembered and the ticking of clocks make his hairs bristle. Goosebumps shooting down his body as the repetitive tick echos in his ears, his head. As if it's unbearably loud, yet he's the only one who can hear. And the numbers, the numbers that float above everyone's head. Their life span, or so Kranos has deducted. Seeing as how the numbers calculate to a date somewhere in the future. Clearly no one else can see what he can, he himself doesn't seem to be grounded in the world of the living. Only to have more confusion piled on as he tries ungodly hard to understand this new world he's been thrown into. |

An ethereal turtle that seems to be unfazed by whatever is around it, a ghost in the time space continuum. She seems to posses a vast amount of knowledge, of what Kronos does not know. Akupara speaks sparingly and is cryptic when she does so, her words being halfway between advice and a warning. Kronos really wishes she'd be more helpful, more straight forward with him.
He wants to go home more than anything else and feels Akupara is dragging out this event longer than it needs to be. Yet, when he pleads with her all he gets in return is knowing, pointed looks. She is helping him, he just needs to listen. Give the world around him a chance, so he can learn from it. Aku is the only help he's really got and she knows this all too well.
It's like babysitting.
