Three figures explore an abandoned campsite. The pearlcatcher digs through a broken trunk as the two tundras pick through a tent. They find little of value- an empty waterskin and a broken pocketknife- but take the tent, wrapping up the canvas and tucking it into a larger bag on the huge tundra's side. The pearlcatcher returns with something behind her back and a big grin on her face.

Juniper is shy, painfully so. Her crippling anxiety becomes merely highly unpleasant around River, and even with how shy she is, she's very protective of Nettle. She's massive for a tundra, easily twice the size of an average tundra, but her fur is very short, even in winter. She speaks with a heavy stutter, in a deep, rough voice. She does not cover her eyes- she was told they were lucky when she was young.

Born to a warrior clan deep in the plaguelands, she never really fit in. A whelp born with many eyes is considered lucky there, a gift from the Plaguebringer if they survive the bad infections and heavy scarring from primal eyes, but Juniper was a disappointment in that regard. Her clan held courage above all else, and Juniper was not a courageous dragon, even as a child. They left her when they moved, abandoned her. She'd always been a good scavenger though, finding food and supplies as she wandered. The clan took her in.
