The Librarium; Epistolary

Known as the pudgy and somewhat easily flustered librarian, Irish is one of the most powerful mages of the clan. While he prefers smiting down his enemies with powerful thunderbolts, he now hides his destructive tendencies by focusing more on bolstering allied fighters and supporting them by paralyzingenemies or healing friends. Not many within the clan even suspect his past and that's for the best, for if they knew that the dragon in charge of their written artifacts was once a violent thief who used to target such riches they certainly wouldn't react kindly to his presence amongst them.
As a younger dragon, Irish had a thirst for knowledge but lacked the treasure to pursue his passion. Together with Keoke he dedicated himself to a life of crime, starting out by pickpocketing coins and trinkets from distracted dragons to breaking in libraries and vaults all the way up to literal highway robbery. Their crime spree, although overall successful, wouldn't last long. Such dangerous criminals needed to be stopped and the sooner the better. Knowing themselves in danger, the duo enlisted in a band of mercenaries scheduled to launch a serie of skirmishes on the Southern Icefields. The plan was to reach the Ice Flight's domain and head inland; two small Faes wouldn't draw much attention and could surely slip in undetected or manage to pass themselves off as travelers. From there, they could head north-west to the arcane territories, sell some stolen scrolls and establish themselves there as more honest citizens.
What ended up happening was very different. They barely made it to the edge of the Southern Icefields before a messenger caught up with their unit. Fearing the message might be about them, Irish and Keoke quickly slipped out of the camp but were noticed before they could make it far. The slimmer Fae left his friend with their stolen goods, intending to lead the mercenaries on a false trail before meeting up with the fae further inland. Irish fled with his precious scrolls to the Ice Floes as fast as his wings could carry him, knowing it was only a matter of time before the skirmishers found him. As powerful as he was, he couldn't hold his own against this many adversaries. As he was investigating a large iceberd hoping to find a small hole to crawl into, he stumbled onto a small clan of the Ice Flight. Their escort of Coatls were quick to question him about his presence in a way that left no doubt that his excuse had better be good lest he have a more present issue than the mercenaries on his tail. He told them that he was but a humble librarian from another Ice clan on the run with valuable scrolls ever since a group of bloodthirsty skirmishers of the Lighting Flight had destroyed his clan and his home and that they were still on his trail. The clan swallowed his lie hook, line and sinker and invited him to safety while they handled the intruders. When the mercenaries caught up to him, they were abushed and mercilessly dispatched by the Coatl guards and with no one left to raise doubt about his origins, he was able to settle in the clan without uch trouble. He was given full access to their library and was given the title of Master Librarian. He was offered new lore almost daily, whether in the form of fossils to study or pieces of tablets and scrolls. It occured to him not long after that perhaps there was no need to move to the Arcane territories and buy himself a life. Perhaps he ought to stay here and enjoy the one he was offered.
