At the edges of the Arcanist's domain, where the Starwood Strand meets the Wandering Contagion, a group of dragons battle endlessly to stop the spread of the plague and the creatures it infects. Why do these dragons fight an unwinnable war? It is neither for personal gain nor the glory of any deity, but simply to protect the arcane clans that call this territory home. It is a solemn duty that these warriors have dedicated their lives to, and none would dream of surrender.

The Eosinophil division is specially trained to take down large monsters with high destructive potential. Unfortunately, the overspecialization that results from their harsh training leaves them at a disadvantage when facing smaller and more nimble creatures. This individual's code of honor, however, leads her to engage enemies she knows she has no hope of defeating. She would rather lose a battle than do nothing when other dragons are in danger. Her frequent losses have caused others to perceive her as a weakling, and her confidence suffers as a result.
