Often seen where lava meets the sea, these elusive imps use the guise of smoke to befuddle assailants, or even trick them into falling in the boiling water off the coast.

Coatl who are naturally born grey or white are regarded as bad omens, and often exiled from nests to protect the rest of the clutch from catching illness or ill luck. So, what about a dragon that's born both grey and white?

"You know what they say: two negatives make a positive!"

The very definition of sanguine, no one has ever seen Havelock in a bad mood. Grievous injuries, exhaustion, sickness, nothing seems dire enough to wipe the smile on his face. People who don't know him well are often off-put by the lighthearted way he seems to handle life but of course, that never bothers him. He already has people who understand and love him how he is, so why concern himself with the opinion of those who do not? He does not mind performing his duties for thankless dragons, either. After all, it is not what they are all doing out on the Floes?

As with most Shadow dragons, he is enamoured with games and puzzles, although he'd much rather play than win. His favourite "game" is alchemy, but card games are a close second.

Havelock met Nehru during his exile in the Ashfall Wastes while he was still a Guardian. He had nothing but a bag of tricks and a dream of finding a clan at the time and the older dragon felt compelled to take the bright eyed dragon under his wing and show him how to take care of himself on the road. They split for a time during which Havelock pursued his training. With hands as deft as his, progress was fast. He studied under a handful of masters and as such doesn't have a specific style. When he next met Nehru, now a Coatl, he was not only able to recognize him ("No scrolls can change the pain in your eyes.") but had become a proficient swordman to join his band of mercenaries.

Carrying equipment very far remote than his fellow guards, Havelock's many talents allow him to be just as efficient in protecting Teller's Rise as the others. From vials of volatile poison to explosive flasks and nets of glue, his bag of dirty trick is packed to the brim with concoctions meant to enfeeble, misdirect, blind, slow and confuse opponents. He is also a very competent fighter, following up on his trickery with precise strikes. He is not an accomplished duelist, however, prefering to relocate in between strikes than confront adversaries head-on.

Havelock has met and hugged Moist shortly after he found the self-confidence to show off his big, toothy smile.
