"Ah... I think I see what you meant." This was the first line Ixith had spoken to the clan when she was brought from her home amongst the Lightbringer's children; amongst a frazzled and dying clan, aimless and unlead, much as she felt in a foreign flight's territory. Young, bright-eyed, and eager to find her own place, she had overheard a pair of merchants arguing over sales numbers and felt the need to aid the meek gold guardian that was being verbally assaulted by his business partner. It was easy enough to correct the relatively simple mistake, a small error in numbers, having been raised in a clan that was relatively well off and had the resources to educate their hatchlings well before preparing for exalt. And, well, while Tessitura's eye for bartering was never quite that great, he did always have a keen eye for talent. "Say, would you be so kind as to help a poor little clan that's down on their luck?" |

Turak and Ix make an unlikely pair, and Ixith is the first to acknowledge it. They've been at each other's throats since day one, where Ixith made it her personal mission to defrost Turak'sin's heart and earn her clanmates' respect. Apparently, whatever she's found, she seems to have liked. They still argue just as much as they did when they met, but the clan as a whole wonder just how much of it is actual arguments versus their own weird way of showing affection for one another. |
Thriin'juan
ADOPTIVE BROTHER | Thriin has been Ixith's adoptive brother for about as long as he's been part of the clan. Ixith had been looking for a bit of emotional support for her new undertaking, the daunting task of rebuilding an already established and dying clan. Literally dragged to his new home, Thriin has provided stoic and silent support-- and competent defense-- for his sister turned Matriarch. Considering where he had come from, finding acceptance and a place to fight was honestly not the worst deal. |
Coeus
SON | Coeus is the newest addition to Ixith's family. Little Coeus was an anomaly, too small and magically freezing from the inside out, but Ix was determined to make sure that her little ember would make it. Now that he's grown a bit and the crisis has been mostly averted, she has high hopes for her son-- though she's prone to worry, as most mothers are. Coeus has certainly proven that the size of the body doesn't affect the size of the heart. He's become a capable voice for the clan populace and is well on his way to perhaps leading the clan someday. |
Toli'asa
PREDECESSSOR | Toli'asa's return brought about a frightening question that Ixith was unprepared to ask-- whether she'd be willing to turn over everything at the drop of a hat. It took a lot of introspection, and ultimately, Ix had gathered her confidence and offered her place back to the former Matriarch. Toli, Broken Mirror at the time, laughed and assured her successor that they were happy to let Ixith continue to hold the reigns. They instead help the current Matriarch with some minor management work and provide their support during council meetings whenever they can. |
