She needed more. She wasn’t beautiful enough. SHE NEEDED MORE. IT WASN’T ENOUGH. Akasha wasn’t always like this, she used to love the way she looked, but her clan didn’t, her clan only wanted beauty, her clan only wanted perfection. At first it didn’t bother her, but then she heard the whispers, the taunts…. the fighting…the name-calling… the hurting... it would all stop if she’d just change the way she looked. All she had to do was change, all she had to do was become someone who’d be treasured by everyone. Someone irreplaceable- someone who’d make everyone happy. All she had to do was change. She just had to change herself. The first change was her wings- that boring, dull ugly alloy changed into something that looked rather nice: darker red colored markings decorating the once metallic surface of her wings. She looked better- others would surely like her more now, right? She was worth beautiful now, right?! The second change was her personality: She’d always been timid, but now that she was prettier she can talk with them and they'd be nice right? RIGHT?! They’d all adore the new, social her.
They all did- they all loved her- there’s no other way around it, that’s why they told her to change right?! To do something about her body?!?! They loved her so they just wanted what was best for her, because ‘just look at how boring and plain it is’. They were right- of course they were! She’d just-she’d…she’d have to change a bit more- she’d have to change JUST a little more, then she’d be perfect! They’d all love her if she’d just change a little more- to make them happy, of course! The next to change was her body she was an ugly, fat Pearlcatcher so she made herself a Skydancer, but…. IT WASN’T ENOUGH, her face…. Yes, her face was too thick, her waist still not thin enough, and her body too shiny the iridescent doing nothing for her

She just needed to shave everything down, Akasha grabbed a nail filer, she just needed to shave things down a bit then change her body that’s all afterward she would look beautiful they would love and adore her. NO IT STILL WASN’T ENOUGH, TO THEM IT WASN’T ENOUGH…. they said it wasn’t enough…. her eyes.
The dull, ugly orange color staring back at her, how the Skydancer HATED that color. She HATED her eyes- perhaps they were the reason everyone was so- unhappy with her. She loathed them, she LOATHED her eyes. How she WISHED SHE COULD JUST....just...

...but...she COULD....right?

Vritra was the one who found her, her skin and hair missing, parts of bone gone, body so thin you would think she wouldn’t have even made it this far into the Cloudscrape Crags. Vritra grabbed them and began the long trek home back to the Snowhearts clan hoping that she’ll be able to help this poor dragon in any way she can. Once back at the clan Frida took care of Akasha helping the poor dragon if only a little, Akasha still valued beauty too much, but at least she was able to get her to stop shaving her bones down… for now.
After a while Akasha became attached to Vritra to the point where she doesn’t let others near her. In her eye Vritra is a special kind of beauty she was the only one to look at her like she’s perfect, looked at her like she mattered just the way she is and because of that she’ll fight tooth and nail to keep her…. even if someone has to go. Just like the others in her clan when she needed a new feature, no one would ever know
