Biography
Children of the field medic and mortician often find themselves fascinated with cadavers and corpses. Some do eventually leave the nest to become healers (albeit unsettling ones with a less-than-ideal bedside manner) though a precious few reject their parents’ teachings entirely, instead setting out to forge their own path; others choose to put their knowledge to other uses and only time will tell whether they will use it for good. Regardless, all depart with at least this one lesson in their heads: only the strong are spared by the Plague. Anxious and skittish Nacht shies away from the limelight, preferring by far the quiet solitude of his secluded hut well away from any lights and noises. He avoids initiating casual conversation with others when he can, though any who come by with actual ailments to treat will note the differences in his demeanour: his nervousness disappears, his gestures are more animated and his speech confident as he diagnoses and prescribes. Dragons have a rhythm to themselves that he struggles to adapt to, he finds. It's not their heartbeat-- that can be measured-- or their pattern of speech. It's everything, right down to body language and glances. Those who respect his boundaries and privacy will soon discover that he is a compassionate young dragon proficient in his role as a healer.
