Biography

Spurious, aka: Wakko

It seems as if he plays decoy for his nebulous, Necromancer brother. Maybe. No dragon actually knows what Wakko does.

Wraith (prototype) | Brother's Charge | Specialties: Oozing?
October.png
It had been nearly a month since the brothers had begun the prestigious Necromancer Trials at the Wyrmwound to seek the Plaguebringer's favor and Rot. When they finally returned together to their birth clan to report their survival, it was evident that the younger brother had earned the Necromancer title. He put on a display of his newfound power to his eager clan mates, paralyzing one with a huff of pathogens before recalling the ailment from the dragon's limp body. There was something different about the older brother, however. He popped a glowing green pustule on his skin which seeped a viscous fluid. The dragons of the lair were fascinated all the same, most having never stepped foot near the Plaguebringer's genotoxic Cauldron, privy to the dangers.

The Mirrors’ father, the lair's Necromancer priest, Ichorclaw, merely arched a brow. He waited for the bustle of their homecoming to fade and descended upon them as they retired to a den for the evening. In lieu of congratulations he met them without a word, glancing between his two sons with an unfettered grimace of confusion coloring his features. He was not able to discern at a glance the older Mirror's title, sensing no great power nor latent virulence, and yet here he was before him, clearly triumphant in his survivorship. As their father's hesitation festered in the air, the younger brother spoke up, blurting out, "I cured him. It's how I settled the Third Trial."

"You interfered in your brother's trials?"

"He would have become a Ghoul if I hadn't done something."
Ichorclaw refrained from barking a scathing, "And?" His mind swiveled between the often gray line between the retribution of Mother's wrath and the rare display of Her mercy, both acts seeded in the power and the fate of Ghouls. Was it an abomination or show of Necromancer strength that had occurred?

"So he never turned into a Ghoul, but he did not pass the Second Trial either?"

"That is correct, to the best of my knowledge," the young Necromancer responded. Ichorclaw moved closer to inspect the strange dragon, sitting on his haunches and placing a hand on his son's cheek.

"Why, you're no different than any other denizen of the Plague Flight." He squinted his eyes, both staring and thinking hard at the creature who remained sheepishly silent. "Riveting," is all he allowed.

Uncommon eyes
"Dragons with uncommon eyes tend to be open and easily influenced by the magical energies in their environment. Magic casters find that they have a wealth of power at their disposal if their surroundings match their element, but they can be severely limited in lands that are foreign to their birth place. Due to their openness, dragons with uncommon eyes are especially suited to the first trial of infection. Their bodies readily accept Mother's Blessing and within days they find themselves riddled with plague. Given this early advantage, uncommon-eyed dragons typically have more time to fight off the plague and learn to control it, though their ability to do so is no greater or less than common-eyed dragons."
