Biography

Serpent
Deckhand

The highest honor under any deity is to be exalted. The highest honor a sailor can get is to go down with his ship or to die for it. I'm not interested in either but if given the choice, I would go down with the ship. While it is a captain's job to do just that, it is a sailor's choice. If the elements don't kill me when the seas take the ship, well, then we'll see what does.

AHXUQvp.gif Serpent wasn't raised in the Scarred Wasteland or anywhere near it. He had been sent to the auction house and was promptly stolen by pirates with nothing but his name to remind him that he'd come from a clan. Despite not living in the Plague territory Serpent thought similarly to those who resided there. Life as a hatchling aboard the ship wasn't easy but it wasn't hard for him because he fought to be survive and remain on top of other hatchlings.

His 'live or die' mindset made him learn ship work quickly and he chose to work at a younger age than most to stay aboard the ship. He fought much the same and though his methods of dispatching dragons were considered brutal, the imperial always said something to his fallen enemy as a way of respecting that they'd died to him. When he became infected from an injury he'd sustained, the dragon chose to let it run its course which meant much of the skin on his neck being eaten away. He'd nearly died from the infection but emerged victorious. While the scar it left proved to be a weak spot that others tried to take advantage of Serpent chose not to hide it. He reveled in the challenges it presented.

The dragon's actions were considered stupid by many of the sailors but his ability to outlast and outlive gained him more respect than the imperial cared for.
