Clan Umbra seems to have an affinity for taking in strange hatchlings from the woods. Kvasir is among the first of such hatchlings, thanks to the clan's High Priestess.

During one of her daily walks through the territory, Shadowspeaker Sibyl stumbled upon him, a young Wildclaw -- practically an infant -- huddled in the large hollow of a great weeping willow, which was surrounded by glowing mushrooms.

Though she could not see, something she sensed struck Sibyl as strange, or perhaps special, about the Wildclaw, believing he was left in the Tangled Wood by fairy-folk. If this were true, she did not know the purpose behind such a thing; instead, all she knew were her motherly instincts calling out to this abandoned child, and she had no children of her own, yet. So, with no one around to tell the high priestess no, she took the fey-child in as her own.

Kvasir grew in to a charming, but shy, young dragon -- of course, raised amongst the priesthood due to Sibyl's occupation, but he never minded; in fact, he loved it so much, he became the high priest, underneath her. He is not the most social, however; aside from his adoptive mother, he has few companions in Clan Umbra-- those he does feel most comfortable with, oddly, are the clan's fae dragons-- especially Esme, and her sister Ismene.

As Kvasir has grown, he has shown talent as an oracle of sorts, prophecies coming to him in his own dreams, or deriving fortunes from the dreams of others.

And cities grow weeds, and cities grow
And cities keep secrets in the trees
In the shadow of the pyramid
The cities grow weeds, the cities grow
By the river and the covered bridge
The cities grow weeds, I know.
