Biography

Bought for 1.5kg from Porcelain's Lair. A bargain for her age and status imo (Oldest Female G1). Originally FirstGenOneXXY. Named after a rare type of Pansy, a domesticated plant from the genus Viola.

Big thanks to Skarlette for the outfit plan, she looks great! All bio resources are linked via the resource.

The Labyrinth is not unfamiliar with the concept of secrets. Great or small, they are swallowed whole by its promise of everlasting seclusion, away from a world that finds it hard to accept the strange and new. Even so, the breeze that winds its way through the tall trees and unkempt bushes is not so furtive. A faint whisper of things Unknown will tickle the ears of any dragon that stops to listen.

With this in mind, it is only right to say that the breeze is what informed me of our newest resident. It was not a particularly windy day if I recall. I was on my way to young Dionysus' garden, ready to inquire as to the fate of his latest floral arrangements, when I noticed a peculiar speck in the air. Though the wind was not harsh, this speck was being blustered about as if it were caught in a gale. In fact, so turbulent was the flight of this speck that it flew directly into my snout. Alarmed though I was, it took my old eyes a while to adjust to the sight of a Fae. But, dear friends, this was no ordinary Fae. In fact, it wasn't a Fae at all. For starters, it was about the height of a large daisy and very skinny, yet it carried itself with an air of delicate elegance. What could constitute as apparel (fused to the skin as it was) consisted of various orange flower petals, combined with razor thin stems and peculiarly dark purple blooms. The most apparent peculiarity however was the shape of the wings. They were scalloped like a butterfly's, tall and slender with an inward curve halfway down like a partition. They were almost shiny in nature, with leaf-like veins threading their way through the yellowy-purple of the Secondary.

It lay dazed upon my snout, quite rightly so considering its small stature. After all, if you were but the height of a large daisy, crashing into the size equivalent of a cliff face would leave you feeling rather odd! I gave it a moment to recollect itself before enquiring as to its wellbeing. It, or rather she, introduced herself as 'Jolly Joker', a Flower Faerie heralding from the Everbloom Gardens. Up until that point I had only heard of such creatures in fantasy books. The tales I'd heard in my youth mentioned a society of small Fae dragons imbued with the ability to talk to and care for the various plants and animals in and around their secret homeland. Gladekeeper herself was said to have gifted them these abilities, reshaping their wings and bodies to better suit blending in and around the flowerbeds and undergrowth. As a result, they subsisted solely on a diet of nectar, much like the butterflies upon which their wings were modelled. Jolly Joker, or 'JoJo' as she preferred to be called, informed me that these legends were in fact true, at least to her understanding.

She'd blown further into the Labyrinth on a rogue wind gust after attempting to collect food and was unusually reluctant to return home. Instead, she enquired if perhaps I would direct her to a new flowerbed? I told her yes, but why did she not want to return home? She explained that she was somewhat of an outcast due to her unusual colouring. She could never 'blend in' enough, and the others were worried this would cause their discovery. I sympathised with her best I could, offering her a ride to my destination. When she heard of Dionysus' garden her demeanour perked up considerably. It perked up even more when she met the Coatl in question, who was more than happy to give her a home in his garden provided she aid him in its upkeep.

And that, my friends, is where you will find JoJo today. She is a wonderful little gardener and has learned to be more sociable with the Lair's larger inhabitants. The Progens have since met our dear JoJo and are impressed with her handiwork. She is true to her name, a jolly soul with a mischievious streak. I have lost count of the number of times Dionysus has been 'pranked', but he takes it in his stride. I admire him for that, but I digress. Whether you are old or young, colourful or monochrome, dragon or not, there will always be a home for you in the Lair of Many References.

vCvlIb0.jpg?1.jpg Viola is a genus of over 500 species of compact, hardy annual and herbaceous perennial plants. The cultivated species are all perennial. Viola x wittrockiana, the garden pansy, is one of the most popular of all garden plants and is often used for bedding. The hybrids produce a wide range of colourful flowers over a long period. The open flowers consist of 5 petals which in the pansy types are rounded, and 4 of the petals face up, and one points downwards. (Violets have 3 pointing up, and two pointing downwards).

'Jolly Joker' is an award-winner that has orange lower petals, and deep purple upper petals. it is a hardy variety that can be sown early for Summer flowers or in Summer for flowering in Autumn, Spring or even through Winter (in mild Winters).
