Empire of Death: Order of Bone

Ferocity was born from a pair of dragons that had descended from a line of fossil dragons- dragons who had been brought back through necromancy and had their bones showing through their bodies. However, that knowledge and look had begun disappearing the further the lineage went. She was born with her bones outlined by a lighter coloration on her scales as a symbol of her heritage like most in the species but didn't lean on that history. The young hatchling focused on living a normal life and grew into a bright young dragon.
The skydancer had a love of plants despite growing up in an icy wasteland, which made it difficult to learn new things about different plants. At a young age she decided to leave her home to study more about plants that were editable or useful in herbal remedies. Over time she managed to gather knowledge over many different plants and some even began growing along her back like a mane, though thanks to her genetics the plants were able to share her body's nutrients rather than kill her and stealing them. However, in her time learning about the plants and more about her heritage to explain how they could grow on her, she began to see the world in a new light. The cycle had been disturbed by the origin of her family and the dead disturbed. Ferocity promised herself never to break the cycle of life and death, as doing so would be against the laws of nature and disrupt balance. |

The notion that the dead should stay dead was what attracted her to the Plague flight. The red-eyed dragons were known for their fierceness in battle and survival instincts, which only made her feel more at home with them. Most of all however, Ferocity went there because the Plaguebringer herself was against dragons returning from the grave; it was forbidden magic to bring dead back and seen as corruption to the spirit of both the necromancer and deceased. Eventually, Ferocity found a clan deemed the Clan of Death and joined them as a gatherer for them due to her love of plants and skills with finding them. Shortly after arriving she met an imperial merchant named Remnant upon his return to the Order of Bone from selling his supplies. His rich brown scales and the golden silks he wore attracted her attention while the rumor of how imperials had been created finalized her attachment to the male dragon. The two slowly got to know each other before finally deciding to become mates, though Ferocity was wary of having hatchlings and passing on the lineage she came from. This later changed however when she realized it wasn't her mistake and she couldn't let it take over her life. Since this realization, Ferocity has been in a more positive mindset with her life and has enjoyed seeing her hatchlings go off into the world to start their own lives. |
