Inventor, Soldier, Pirate

Although my eyes are those of fire, many elements have shaped me. My mother is a lightning dragon, and everyone who knows us both says I inherited her bright smile, inventing mind, and workaholic attitude. My father, on the other hand, is a wind dragon and a restless, creative traveler who can never quite make up his mind what he wants. I think I have some of him in me too. I've certainly gone through a lot of jobs.
My parents met while visited the Ashfall Waste for Flameforger's Festival. They fell in love and decided to stay in the Ashfall Waste, halfway between their clans. When I was born they were living near one of the only trees for miles around, so they named me Araucaria, after the tree. They settled near the great furnace, and I grew up watching the blacksmiths do their work. They fascinated me, and I happily joined them when I was old enough. Soon, I grew restless. When a group of dragons came to our lair looking for recruits to fight the beastclans, I joined them. At first I was excited for the chance to get out of the cramped furnaces, but being a soldier was stifling. I spent most of my free time inventing things. So, when Kensia offered me a job as a pirate that would allow me to put all of my skills to use, I accepted. I've been sailing the seas as a pirate for three years now, and for once I'm no longer restless.
