Torn, Lune looked at the round something in her claws. It was a nacreous sphere, shimmering in the little light that fell into the cave. It looked like a pearl. But Lune knew it wasn’t. It was a stone, covered up so no one could see the grey nothingness inside. Was that all that was left of her?
Personality

As a hatchling, Lune lost her pearl in the depths of a canyon. She feels like she has lost her identity together with it and that whenever she does something, she is only acting. Her fake pearl gives her confidence when talking to other dragons, but she knows there is nothing but a stone inside. It often makes her feel shallow and dishonest. However, while losing her pearl and the events following changed her, Lune is far from having lost her identity. She is a very curious dragon, but a lot more careful when it comes to adventures. She wants to understand how things work and what they can be used for. Lune gave up on her dream to to fly beyond the horizon. Instead, she took her first steps as tinkerer. She even built herself a prothesis for her wing, enabling her to undertake small flights (but Monde won't let her go alone). She will let no one near her pearl, fearing they could find out it is fake. She fears nothing more than being exposed as a liar and being sent away. |

Lune grew up well protected by her older brother Monde and her parents alike. However, being of curious and investigative nature, Lune never wanted to stay in her parent’s lair. The world outside of the well-known fascinated her far more and so she sneaked out as often as she could, flying across the Shifting Expanse, always returning before someone noticed she was gone. As a quick flyer, she managed to avoid most dangers and always return safely, until one tragic adventure of hers. That day, her trip brought her close to the Lightning Farm, closer than she had ever been before. Fascinated by the electricity that made the air hum, Lune approached the farm even further, ignoring her parent’s warnings. Fate punished her curiosity. A flash of lightning struck her wing and Lune tumbled down into the depths of Carrion Canyon. Flapping both her damaged and her good wing, she managed to reach a platform in the mountains. Her pearl, however, she lost. Hurt and in pain, Lune was unable to retrieve the pearl. She could not fly, and the canyon was too deep to climb down and up again. After she spent hours on the platform, panicking, she had to return to her lair by foot, angsty and worried. While she hoped for some comfort, she was disappointed. Her lair did neither approve of her secret excurses, nor of her loss. Even her parents refused to speak to her, calling her an empty shell. The leaders exiled her and sent her away into the wilderness to make her life on her own. Deprived of her family and identity, Lune knew no alternative but to keep on travelling. However, her brother followed her shortly after. He stayed with her, kept her warm, and carried her on his back for countless miles. Lune could never thank him enough. Finally, the siblings made their way to the Crystalspine Reaches. In a cave where they spent the night, Lune found a round stone, which she covered in her mucus to look like a pearl. When they continued their way, Lune was almost magically drawn to Focal Point. However, Claudius and his goons turned them away. The siblings hid in a cave, trying to decide where to go next. There, Ornes found them and led them to their new home. |

Monde is Lune's older brother and most definitely the most amazing person in the world. Lune knows that a lot of Monde's gruff behavior is not what he actually feels like. She knows that deep inside, her brother is a gentle soul, who somehow decided to hide it all under a rough surface. Sometimes, even Lune struggles with him being stubborn and proud. But she adores him nevertheless. |

Lune will be forever thankful towards Ornes. He saved her and Monde from the cold, did not fight Monde even though Monde was very aggressive towards him, and showed them a new home. Lune herself does not understand much about herbs and healing, but she is very curious and loves to listen to Ornes telling her about plants, potions, and anatomy. |

Lune is unsure what exactly earned her Shirogane’s attention, but she is more than happy with it. She sees Shirogane as a very clever and admirable dragon and hopes to one day be able to match up to him. She knows that she can turn to him with no matter what question and that he will do his best to help her out, even though he is no expert in her field. Sometimes, Lune would even refer to Shirogane as her father in her head. |
