- Adult Biography

Hatchlings tend to flock to Ila, drawn in by her warm, playful nature and boundless energy.

Her kindness toward young dragons is mostly just her nature, but furthered by her own past.
Ila was initially adopted by the biological mother of Solveig, much to the chagrin of everyone else in her first clan. The frontiers of the Plateau offer little in the way of food or shelter from the elements, and the extra mouths were not particularly tolerated. At first, their mother would simply split her own rations with the hatchlings, but she quickly grew weak from such a sacrifice, and when she caught what should have been a mild illness, she could not recover.
After their mother's death, Ila and Solveig were quickly sent out from the clan, allowed only her belongings to try to survive with.

Edan found them shortly after, and in time they saw him as their family as well. The clan only grew in size from there. She found joy in her growing clan, and decided to do everything she could to make sure the new hatchlings and dragons that found their way to Edan's home would feel welcome, comfortable, and would never go without.

For that reason, it's not surprising at all that she rose to be "den mother" once she was comfortably into adulthood. Much of Edan's clan was named by her, and even as her many adopted children have grown up, themselves, she is still the one they go to for a sympathetic ear.

She is also eager to teach anyone who is willing how to cook and mend clothing, and has always quietly hoped for a protege, though that has yet to happen.

But those aren't her only passions, of course.

Ila may loathe fighting, but she is a well-practiced and efficient hunter. In spite of her hectic nature she has become one of Edan's most trusted and beloved clanmates. Her strength of body and spirit is a vital part of the group, she is very much the heart of the clan.

To be frank, everything would probably fall apart without her.
