They call him Griever. Everyone does, at least everyone who left the Zone and survived to tell the tale. Once this dragon lurked aimlessly around the Red Forest, weeping blood tinged tears as he went. Old stories point to him being one of the first to inhabit the Zone, though the validity of such claims will never be verified.

He grieved for his friends, his family, all lost in a single event that the lonely Spiral will not speak of. Countless years of unending, soul-rending sorrow passed him by, compounded by the solitude the irradiated dragon constantly found himself in. He continued to wander the silent wastes of the Glowing Sea, finding no solace in the ever present fog that shrouded his entire existence.

eBHC472.png As more dragons were found or brought to the Zone, the pacifistic Spiral began to change. He began to find a purpose in leading and protecting the newer residents from nosy outsiders. He officially adopted the nickname Griever, never wanting to forget what shaped him into the dragon he had become. Only those closest to him speak his true name, a name long ago lost to the ardent fog that became as ingrained in Griever's mind as it was in the terrain around him.

Griever has started to suspect that the constant irradiation of the Zone's residents is beginning to affect their minds, causing them to become gradually more deranged and quick to resort to violence as time goes on.
