Biography
Not a typical Pearlcatcher, Virgo inspires some wariness from those crossing her path for the first time. Where on most dragons of her breed there would be scales, her head and much of her neck is instead covered in thick black fur, while her snout is less dragon and more, dare they say it, wolfish. Liquid burbles away constantly in her gut, visible as a colour only a tone or two shy of the Arcanist’s pink. Virgo never talks about her time before the Observatory - indeed, many dragons wonder if she wasn’t just born there, in the heart of the Arcanist’s home. Well, perhaps ‘created’ would be a better word.
However, less of a mystery is her wilful personality and willingness to get her own way through whatever means necessary. Many a dragon has been wounded by her sharp tongue; less by her weapons or teeth, but it isn’t entirely unheard of. Her demeanor brings to mind that of a violent warrior, and while she may prefer to use her wits to cut down ignorant dragons, she can and will cause damage of a more physical nature if provoked. It’s generally accepted that unless absolutely necessary she should be left in peace to do… whatever it is she does.
In fact, despite having a personality, appearance and habits all tended towards the idea of a warrior, Virgo’s interest lie away from Sornieth, and further up into the sky. The Shade once came from there, which tells her that, somewhere, there must be other life. What she’d do if she ever discovered any, not even she knows. Presumably, it would depend on their levels of hostility. She likes to think that she would rather study them than kill them, but sometimes needs must.
Perhaps one day she will find out...
