Biography
LOREKEEPER FOR NOW
The clan is located partly within the Shrieking Wilds and partly within the Gladeveins, resting between the two territories so the area is interspersed with thick groves of trees and roaring rivers. The main hub of the clan is a group of islands and other strips of land separated by rivers and streams. There are stepping stones and bridges that link the lands, and a few dragons will raft downstream instead of walking or flying. These landmasses host the essentials for maintaining a clan: there are craftsmen who work to make tools, tailors, and various taverns and eateries for dragons just passing through. The majority of socializing within the clan happens here.
Upstream, within the Shrieking Wilds, there is a large waterfall that spills over a semicircular cliff face and into a lake, which drains off into the Gladeveins. This is where the dragons rest. Along the top ridge of the waterfall are large trees, where the smaller members of the clan make their home. One tree is dedicated to the Fae, who have coated their tree with their sap nests and various small platforms to lounge upon. Another is claimed by the Spirals, who have bored holes into the sides of the large tree and reside within it. On a warm night, many Spirals can be seen wrapped around the branches of the tree instead.
There are many sizes of holes carved into the sides of the cliffs, though all are draped behind vines and other greenery so as to keep the entrances hidden and free from any spray the waterfall creates. Nocturnes make their home inside a cave near the top of the cliff, where large tree roots lie exposed beneath the soil and provide suitable perches for their upside down sleeping habits. Skydancers also reside near the top, where they are free to swoop out from their cave and enjoy the open air around the waterfall.
Guardians, Ridgebacks, and Imperials all make their home in the incredibly spacious cavern behind the fall itself. Tundras have a space carved out for themselves in the middle of the cliffs, and Mirrors and Snappers both live between the roots of the trees at the top of the cliffs, where they are free to move around without disturbing the others.
Pearlcatchers have a whole section of the cliffs dedicated to their architectural endeavors, where trees and vines have been masterfully guided into platforms and open air rooms that connect to rooms within the cliffside.
Bogsneaks (and some Water dragons) have made a home for themselves on the shores of the lake, where tall reeds provide good material for weaving small dens out of. Some Water dragons have even taken it upon themselves to sleep under the surface of the lake, and a few have even dug underwater cave systems for themselves.
Coatl have small dens of their own carved into the sides of the cliff, shallow but comfortable.
The few Ancient dragons that live in the clan have made themselves comfortable where they can; the Gaolers that live here sleep with the larger breeds, and the Banescales roost as close as they can to their Coatl siblings. (If i ever get more than one Veilspun they will sleep in a small cave on the same level as the surface of the lake, where they can rest on lily pads and store their various treasures.)
