Dragons Sornieth-wide love to decorate themselves in various types of apparel. One of the most eye-catching of accessories is, of course, jewelry. Precious stones and metals are mined, refined, and fashioned into beautiful necklaces, rings, bracelets, any shape of sparkling adornment a dragon could ever desire. Jewelry has been coveted as a sign of beauty and wealth for ages, as long as dragonkind can remember. But jewelry doesn't always remain jewelry.

It is a rare phenomenon that dates beyond the memory of any living dragon. Every so often, a dragon will wake up and find that their jewelry has come to life.

During dark nights, a curious sight may be seen by dragons traversing the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Small flashes of blue lights sparkle among the waves, a lure to the unwary and a warning to the wise. For those dancing lights are paths of the Wave Wisps as they frolic together. Some flocks protect hidden relics and treasures of the sea, using illusions and tricks to lure dragons into treacherous reefs and away from their hoards. While others converge at shipwrecks and battles, acting as spiritualists who guide the souls lost at sea to their rightful places. Beware dragons who see those eerie blue lights, turn thy wings and ships away, and seek not those who court death and treasure.
