Hymn
★★★ PrologueAdviser Leader On a warm and sunny day,the Gladekeeper saw a mighty oak tree with the most lovely vibe. It seemed almost like a spirit inside the tree was struggling to get out. She was inspired. She took the time and effort to carve a beautiful Pearlcatcher out of the mighty oak. In an attempt to make the Pearlcatcher have the ability to move, the Gladekeeper added a bit too much livelihood and the carving became a real dragon. The Gladekeeper was overjoyed with her creation and called all the other deities for a ceremony. Of course, she and the Plaguebringer were feuding (so she wasn't invited), the StormCatcher claimed he needed to get charged, the Windsinger said she was busy, and the Tidelord was missing, but all the others went. On the day of the ceremony, each deity that went gave the baby Pearlcatcher a gift. The Earthshaker gave him beautiful Sable wings, the Shadowbinder gave him a purple body resembling the darkness of the Tangled Wood, and the FlameCaller gave him flame-like patches along his body. The Arcanist blessed him with marking of the stars while the LightWeaver gifted him two bright yellow eyes to oppose to Shadowbinder’s darkness. The Icewarden, being late as usual, can with a bag of powdered snow. He then dumped the snow on the little Pearlcatcher's head. "He shall be shiny and look nice at all times." He smiled and pat the little Pearlcatcher on the head. The ceremony progressed quickly, near the end the Gladekeeper stood upon the stump of the mighty oak, and announced in a booming voice, "Behold! His name shall be Hymn!" |
★★★ Part 1 While Hymn grew, he became power-hungry and merciless. Wherever he went was left lifeless and bloody. He was dissatisfied as a Pearlcatcher; the body just wasn’t strong enough for him. He went searching and found a scroll. As soon as he touched the scroll his body was different. He looked like... a Nocturne. Hymn flexed his claws and lifted his wings. "So this is what power feels like..." The deities have had enough of this ruthless dragon destroying the land they worked so hard to put together. He must be stopped. The ten deities gathered and worked out a plan to capture Hymn. Catching Hymn was not an easy task, he escaped their grasps each time their plan even came close. The only time they could approach is at night. |
★★★ Part 2 While Hymn was asleep, the Windsinger approached with a goblet of water. Water from the Fountain of Youth. She stalked up slowly careful to make as less noise possible. Hymn was fast asleep. The Windsinger continued towards him, she was so close and Hymn's heavy breathing covered the sounds of her wing beats. Landing slowly and quietly, the Windsinger angled the goblet so the golden liquid rushed into Hymn's mouth. Almost in an instant, he turned into a hatchling. The plan to trap Hymn in a small body forever was a success. The deities crowded around him wondering what to do now. The Shadowbinder said that he could live in a lair of the Foxfire Brambles. The others thought it was a good plan, so they sent him off with a familiar. Hymn was furious, he wanted to get out of the tiny body and go back to causing chaos. Hymn has tried practically everything to break out of his body. To this day, Hymn still hasn't managed to escape from his prison. |
