Etera ______This beast has been summoned by the Rakuen clan in hopes to stave off the overgrowing Abyss dragons who reside within Oasis island. The darkness that omits from these Abyss dragons, similar to that of the Shade, bring about corruption, bad thoughts, and nightmares beyond any dragons comprehension. As if it isn't bad enough this clan is doing its best to stay on good footing with other clans, it now has its own problems it is trying to contain hidden from the rest of the world. ______Etera was summoned by Oki to go head to head against Mitternacht as he began to wreck havoc within the clan. Though Mitternacht himself was not having a nightmare, the aura emitting from the darkness was that similar to what the Dreameater feasts on. This only pushed Mitternacht away temporarily and did not satisfy the Nocturne. Etera wasted no time in causing more damages to the clan in her wake consuming the hopes and dreams of several of the clan's dragons. ______This Nocturne can act very evil and childish when out scouting for its nightmare prey. Etera can be found holed up with her little moth plushie while resting and it is said that this plush acts as a storage for extra nightmares that may have been collected throughout her summons. It is safe to say that one should never touch this plush. Dreameater ______A Dreameater devours the nightmares of all manner of dragons and beasts and It cannot be summoned without caution. Ancient legends say that if a Dreameater is not satisfied after consuming the nightmare, he or she may also devour one’s hopes and dreams. ______More commonly Imperial dragons in appearance it’s not unheard of to see other breeds but to a lesser degree. They favor items that extenuate their nightmarish appearance, dark or cursed objects are their most treasured. The oldest of the Dreameaters are usually mottled with scars from their numerous battles for control of their respective groups, battles of dominance and supreme leadership with others of their kind. ______Legend has it, that if a dragon or beast wakes up from a bad dream they can call out to a Dreameater repeating it's name three times and it will appear. It is known that the Dreameater will come into the lair and devour the bad dream, allowing the dreamer to go back to sleep peacefully. ______However, calling to the Dreameater must be done sparingly, because if he or she remains hungry after eating someone's nightmare, they may also devour the hopes and desires as well, leaving the afflicted dreamer to live an empty life. A Dreameater can also be summoned for protection from bad dreams prior to falling asleep at night and talismans are often kept close to sleeping quarters to help ward off the bad dreams. ______Often mistaken for dragons possessed by the shade they are avoided by all within a lair until called upon. The fact that they have never confirmed or denied that they are possessed by the shade has not helped them to fully fit into any clan. ______Due to their movements and appearance other dragons fear them as shade emissaries, their presence often causes hatchlings to become afflicted by nightmares due to their appearance meaning that they are called forward more often then they should be. |
