Biography
translator for coatls. understands draconic.
(5.16.2020) Happy to finally see other dragons, the coatl perked up. He had been traveling with all but a 5-day-old hatchling for some time now. He could make out three dragons in the distance: a mirror, a spiral, and a large, hulking ridgeback. The coatl quickly realized these dragons were not friends, however, as he observed the three mysterious dragons begin to surround his companion and he. Acting immediately, the coatl presented a sheet of metal he had prepared as a gift for any potential threats. He waited patiently as the dragons slowly approached.
When he had finally walked close enough not to miss the obsequiously presented gift, the ridgeback paused and looked the coatl and its gift of metal up and down, narrowing his eyes.
"Is this for me?" the ridgeback boomed. Even without eardrums, the coatls flinched at his volume. Nonetheless, the male nodded eagerly to his question.
The ridgeback laughed deeply, saying, "Sure I'll take it, but it won't save you from your death."
The male coatl panicked a little inside, thinking of a way out of his situation. Could it be that ridgebacks don't like metals? In that case...
Not waiting for another reply, the male coatl presented another gift, this time alive and breathing. It was a small female hatchling the ridgeback had missed because of its minute size. The hatchling appeared completely unaware of her current predicament, the poor thing.
The ridgeback laughed again, this time more heartily. "A live offering? Now you're talking! You're beginning to speak my language..."
Obviously pleased, the male coatl perked up, his light blue eyes brightening.
"Speaking of language, I've never had such a long conversation with a coatl. Say, can you understand draconic?"
The coatl wordlessly nodded again.
"Brilliant. I could use a dragon like you. But still, to offer up one of your own... Ice dragons truly are cold."
