Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this friendly little guy wandered a little too far from his home lair (#261945, Sirhorsealot), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!
Blackwolf
The Beleaguered Shaman
Owner #1: Sirhorsealot (#261945 Fire)

Blackwolf grew up in the heart of Dragonhome under the sometimes careless watch of his mother, Morgana. Morgana was highly regarded as an alchemist, despite the fact that so many of her experiments resulted in explosion. Blackwolf actually grew to rather like this, and the smell of soot mixed with burning chemicals has become one he knows like the back of his hand. However, he knew that he couldn't stay there forever. Like his father, Umbriel, Blackwolf had an intense desire to go out and do something. He ultimately decided that becoming a mercenary like his father wasn't the path he desired, and so he set about to find his own passion in life.
After wandering for many weeks, Blackwolf came upon the Flamecaller's realm. However, weak with hunger from the long, grueling trip, he collapsed at the furthest reaches of the Emberglow Hearth. While unconscious, Blackwolf had dreams of spirits and prophecies, of ancient ancestors come down from the heavens to impart upon him their wisdom and of black clouds in the distance, rumbling with a wrathful ferocity. When Blackwolf came to, he was inside of a cliff face, surrounded by strange dragons.
One, a white coatl that seemed to shimmer with unearthly light, approached him and introduced himself as Starshine. He explained that he was the leader of the Wishing Stars Clan, whose lair Blackwolf had been carried back to after a hunting party had scouted him. Starshine encouraged him to stay a while and get his bearings before leaving once more, and so Blackwolf set about meeting the other members. He quite enjoyed Diabolical, despite her oddities, and was pleasantly surprised to find his elder sister, Xylona, among those who called the Blacksand Annex their home. As happy as he was, however, Blackwolf knew that he still had much soul-searching to do. After a couple days, he gathered his things and went to see Starshine to tell the coatl he was leaving.
Starshine was fully cooperative, further emboldening Blackwolf's resolve, and decided to leave Blackwolf with a parting gift. In a flash of light, the bone-like patterns on Blackwolf's pelt were gone, and instead his underbelly was the color of a placid twilight. Thanking Starshine, Blackwolf set out once more. This time, however, it wasn't just for self-discovery. After all, those black clouds from his dream were still lurking over a distant horizon, and he knew he needed to stop them.

Owner #2: lavaland422 (#385723 Earth)

The first place Blackwolf thought to look was his birth Flight. His journey took days, but he finally reached the ancient borders of Dragonhome. It had been so long since he had set foot there, so he wasn't entirely sure where to begin. After wandering for several more days, he found himself near the Cairnstone Rest. The sacred burial ground was as good a place as any to start searching for those dark clouds he had seen.

As he snooped around, Blackwolf suddenly heard voices. A purple Skydancer appeared, with several boisterous hatchlings bounding along behind her. She froze as soon as she saw him and gathered the hatchlings close with her tail. "Who are you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.

"My name is Blackwolf," the dragon in question answered. "I mean no harm to your little ones. I'm just here looking for something."

"I see," the Skydancer replied, letting the hatchlings run free again. "Maybe I could help. My name is Azith."

"It's nice to meet you, but I don't think you could help," Blackwolf stated, turning away and searching the horizon. "What I'm looking for can't be seen. At least, not yet."

"Do you need a place to stay?" Azith asked, gathering the hatchlings and directing them back toward home. "You could stay with my clan while you're looking."

"That's very generous of you," Blackwolf noted, nodding. "But I will have to leave after a while if what I'm searching for doesn't show up."

"I'm sure Izilth will understand," Azith replied, waving one claw dismissively. "Take as long as you need."

After this encounter, Blackwolf ended up staying with the clan for a short while. Each of the dragons there had their oddities and he himself was no exception. Every morning, he would leave the lair to search deeper into the Cairnstone Rest for answers. Yet, he found nothing. Crestfallen, but relieved that his birth Flight was safe from the dangers his dream had foretold, he informed Izilth that he would soon depart. She sent him off with her blessing. He left with the hope that he would soon find and destroy the threat that loomed on the horizon.

Owner #3: Harbinger (3280, Light)
Blackwolf's next journey was a long one, eventually coming to the Sunbeam Ruins. Eventually he came across the Harbinger's Clan and found what he considered might be his permanent home. There was so much here that reminded him of home, of his journeys, and so many options that were open to him.

Thunraz and her extreme experiments reminded him of his mother. Tmolus reminded him of the steadiness of Dragonhome. Gouda was a seer and a shaman, helping him interpret his dream and the interweavings within. Then was the Harbinger herself, Jeverinth, who spoke of her own journeys and her own Search.

Maybe that was Blackwolf's problem. Maybe he needed a Charge, and yet, he was no Guardian. He puzzled over it for a week, then decided it was time to move on. He wouldn't find his purpose sitting around in one place. So he spread his wings and took to the skies for his next adventure.

Owner #4: raptorix (#56441, Wind)
He came. He saw. He had a nice nest. He traveled on.

Owner #5: jellitan (#477473, Arcane)
He then flew off to Starfall Isles, where he decided to sleep on top of a rocky cliff. Little did he know, he was dragged from his sleeping place into a dragon lair by two dragons who thought he was dead or unconsious.

"Is he... dead? The first one asked. "I don't know." The second one replied. Its best to take him to our den & see if he wakes up.

He then woke up in an Arcanian den, only to see an intimidating guardian looking down on him.

"My name is Yukitora, but locals know me as Captain Yuki. Im the leader of the warrior part of our lair. Would you like me to show you how we train our dragons?" So Blackwolf agreed to train with the mysterious "all mighty captain." He had a blast learning techniques, and even finding a forever friend to acompany him on his travels. He trained him to a certain level, until he explained that he was too busy to continue training him. Before he left, Captain Yuki asked him to keep a lookout for his missing son, Oreo, & a purple dragon who was the daughter of another warrior, Yami.

Owner #6: Kasael (#46882, Plague)

With more confidence in his abilities as a fighter, Blackwolf made his way into the unforgiving landscape of the Scarred Wasteland, arriving at a conspicuous clan known not just for its mercenary force, but also for its mages and artisans.

He went from dragon to dragon and asked to learn a little of their craft, picking up everything from singing to teamaking to games of magic. But it was the local Earth dragons, an intimidating gem-hunter and a meek appraiser of antiques, who appreciated his company and careful eye the most. It was strange to him to get in touch with his heritage so far from home, but not unappreciated.

While he enjoyed his stay, the constant hustle of mercenary dragons disquieted him, and Blackwolf felt the need to find someplace a bit more peaceful. He and his Wraith Hound companion made their leave for new skies.

Owner #7: Petall (#256252, Shadow)

When Blackwolf arrived at the Forgotten Kingdom, he was immediately shrouded in darkness. He knew that this was the place his dream was warning him of.

He stayed in the kingdom for many years, trying to work to predict and combat the darkness. Eventually, it was revealed to be the Shade, and Blackwolf helplessly watched a Shade-touched tyrant rise to power. In the end, he helped the city overthrow the king. Once he was sure the danger had passed, be continued along his way, this time with a dream of a sparkling ocean with large shapes moving beneath the surface.

Blackwolf's Visit to The Forgotten Kingdom

Owner #8: Ruyime (#517108, Arcane)

Blackwolf came to Starfall Isles again, hoping to find the clan he was with last time. Instead, he bumped into a pretty Skydancer. The Skydancer introduced herself as Melody. She brought him to her clan where he was immediatrly checked by the medical team led by Yona, the head of the clan. Thankfully, he had no injuries whatsoever. Blackwolf decided to stay at Melody’s house for the night. The next morning, he got up and left a note saying, “thank you.”
