He can feel the storm over the horizon, a deep rumbling that sets his teeth on edge and the magic in his bones afire. It thunders in the distance, and he can almost see where the sky blackens from his perch on the highest spire in the Lightning Farm.

There's a pause as he inhales sharply before his wings-- every shade of the sky, they say-- snap open and he launches himself up and up and up...

Straight into the oncoming storm.

No one knows why he does it-- for Stormcatcher's sake, they don't even know how he survives storms that would make even the bravest Wind dragon shudder to be caught in.
