Notes: * glitched due to Opal tert (and prior dormant potential as Cursed Hunter) * glitch manifests as an obsession with truth - hence, veritas * maintains some Hunter inclinations, such as a fixation on survival, a desire to establish a territory and defend it against all threats, and an instinct to eradicate all other threats in the area * behavior is sometimes erratic due to conflicting natures/minds * was a Hunter descendent but not cut out to be a Hunter herself (Skydancers are not approved Hunter species); her Opal was dormant until the host was threatened, at which point it took over and fought back Veritas was snatched from her nest by a drone. It pinned the tiny hatchling down and began the assimilation process mere feet from the nest. What was not planned - what could not be calculated - was that she was from a Hunter bloodline, and within her lay a dormant monster, waiting for the right genetics to express itself. The monster, the curse, manifested itself in the assimilation process, fighting back for control of the body, of the mind, and it became the Consciousness known as Veritas. |
