Amaterasu is the highest level of the Fire Release Techniques and the complement of Tsukuyomi.

The technique produces black flames at the point the user looked at. Once created the flames burn seven days and seven nights and cannot be extinguished by anyone but the creator, even water won't quench them.
The flames are said to be as fires from hell and hot as the sun itself.

Amaterasu needs a lot of energy from it's caster and might cause their eyes to bleed from the strain.
