The Enchanted moura or, moura encantada is a supernatural being from the fairy tales of Portuguese and Galician folklore. Very beautiful and seductive, she lives under an imposed occult spell. Shapeshifters, the mouras encantadas occupy liminal spaces and are builders with stone of formidable strength.

If she allows herself to, she can remember back to when she was a small, very young Hatchling. The lavish rooms she and the others were kept in. They were sheltered, given everything they could ever want, coddled. Is it any wonder that he had such an easy time of things?
The sandy and black Coatl male had seemed to materialize from the shadows. She had been with her brother. Those gleaming red eyes had pinned the two of them. Neither they nor the other Hatchlings had moved. No running. No hiding. The Coatl male had grabbed them easily enough and left. Left with his stolen prizes as though no one would ever even think to stop him. They hadn't.
Her brother had not been very smart. He fought once away from their home. Hard. It landed the fool in a box. Not a good or comfortable place to be for a long journey. She had opted to do things more wisely and comply with what Aerico had wanted of her. She traveled quietly until it became clear something was wrong. The Coatl grabbed her and meant to leave her brother behind! She fought then... and ended up in a sack. It had been a miserable journey after that and she has had no word on her brother.
Once she was delivered to Mother Rashtlin, the dark Guardian female had sent Aerico away on some new task. Moura had been given her name then. The much darker female had demanded that Moura commit the name to memory immediately and respond promptly should someone call for her attention. Mother had done several intense teachings herself. Aside from the new name, she was taught quickly who the most important members of the Clan currently were. This was to ensure she did not avert her attention away from them for someone less important. A very crucial teaching.
Moura was then taught what her new function was. To put things as kindly as possible, she is a Courtesan. It is her place to look lovely and please those of importance. They could be fellow members of The Clan, or visitors from elsewhere. It has also been made very clear to her that this may even entail her producing pretty little Hatchlings for The Clan to profit from. Some might find this distasteful. She, however, does not. After all, she is well taken care of and all her needs provided for.
Being pulled from her thoughts by the softest of footfalls, Moura smiles seductively. She knows the sounds of those steps as well as she knows her own. Aerico has come for another visit. She wonders what new treasure he has brought her this time.
