Chapter 1: March 9th.
Nahuel's POV. After all this time, her arrangement with Karam has paid off. She has finally given birth to a daughter. She dreams if raising her child to be an even greater warrior than she. A future queen that will one day lead the Wendigowak back into the mountains on a road paved in dragon's blood. Unannounced to Nahuel, the cold tail of winter was not enough to keep the breath of spring from thawing Chabeli's frozen heart.
Chapter 2: The Hunt
Chabeli follows her mother and a few other Wendigowak though the forest. Dragons have been seen moving though their territory. Nahuel is convinced that they are here to drive them out and claim this place as theirs as well. They followed the group for a while undetected. They had little fire with them. Odds where the little group didn't even know of the monsters that hunted these woods. Though knowing mother that wouldn't be true for long. "Amarok. Devaki. Djuna. Circle around and await my signal. Chabeli," The cold queen now turned her icy gave to the anxious princess. This was not Chabeli's first hunt, and she had messed up time and time again. She tried, truly, but her curse of empathy made it difficult to carry though. The fear and pain often overwhelmed the young Wendigowak, but now the disappointment rolling off Nahuel had sway over here. "You will stay with Clovis. Watch the treeline, and if any dragon escapes our ambush, do not let them get away." With that She was gone, and a short time latter the silence was broken by screams and roars.
