You don't remember much about your beginnings. All that you know is that there was a big bang somewhere out in the cosmos and that you were formed from the gasses and the dirt that was left behind. At least that was how your parents told you the story when you were old enough to start asking questions. You weren't sure if it was like that for all dragons, but your parents were adamant about that being how you were born. They said they were happy to have a beautiful female hatchling.

The thing was that you didn't particularly feel like a girl. You didn't really act like a girl either.

While your sisters were more into elegant activities like tea parties, you were always into more rough and tumble activities. You didn't mind getting dirty and that seemed to cause your parents a lot of grief. You remember getting into a lot of arguments with them other little things even when you were just a hatchling. You remember the one instance where you bit a neighboring Nocturne that was bullying your sisters and yet they told you off for getting into a fight?

Needless to say that your relationship with them wasn't the strongest.

Of course they weren't happy with you when you told them you weren't going to take over the family business of spell weaving. You had already found your calling in working with machinery and inventing new gadgets to use. You were told that taking up the job of a lightning dragon was beneath a Tundra like you. That it was beneath a girl of your standards. The tension that had been building up for all of your life and that feeling like you didn't belong in your own body finally came to a head that day.

You snapped, screamed at them that you were a boy, and then took off to the skies before they could get a word in edgewise.

You were old enough to leave the nest by then so leave it you did. You weren't sure how long you flew for or how your parents felt about your admission, but at this point you just didn't care. You didn't stop flying until your wings gave out over someone's lair in the Tangled Wood. You weren't sure how long you were out for after you crashed, but when you came to a kindly older Tundra named Aqua was tending to your wounds. As you recovered, you learned that she was the leader of the clan that you had crashed in.

Eventually your wings felt well enough to take off again. You were uncertain of your choice, but you were sure that your parents were worried despite the prior tension. That was when the clan leader asked you if you wanted to join her clan. They apparently lacked an engineer and she felt like you would have been a perfect fit. It was a tempting offer really. Aqua didn't seem to judge you for identifying as a boy and that was ultimately what helped you make your decision. It wasn't like you couldn't always visit your parents later right?

Eventually you settled into your role in your new clan. You felt secure, calm, and like you weren't being judged here. It was a reassuring feeling. Eventually you gravitated towards the bard, Memoria, and his adopted son, Monster. You're not sure why, but they seemed nice enough and your gaze couldn't help but to linger on Memoria. You weren't sure what the feeling was, but it was a nice feeling all the same.

Sure Monster was bit unnerving in that he seemed wiser than his age suggested, but still you felt yourself wanting to grab Memoria's attention more and more as time passed.
