Aja | "The Exile"

Former leader of the cult known as Aja's Worthies, whom he formed from many of Deepbloom's members after he arrived in their territory one day. Aja believes himself to be a prophet and a god, and is a devout follower of the deities, most especially the Arcanist.

Aja's reign over the Hewn City and his warring with Deepbloom came to an end in a final battle between the two forces, leading to the death of many of his members and the fleeing of many more to Deepbloom. The Nocturne swore revenge and disappeared into the Ruins, where he wanders the crumbling structures with the few dragons still loyal to him, spending his days ranting and raving about justice and comeuppance.

Stardust Sap Lamp

Look at you. Look at what you have done. You feign neutrality; you pretend that all is right with the world. But I see you. I see you and I see what you have done, you fools! I see your pain. I see how pathetic and foolish you are to even call yourselves dragons, crawling in the filth and the dirt of your sins like the pitiful wyrms you are, your heads trapped behind feverish veils of delusion. You crawl in this rot, and yet you dare believe you are above the stars! Look at you. See that you have locked yourself in this cage of torment, just as you have locked your young and your kin in with you. You deserve all that is brought upon you.

But I give you a choice. A choice that you must consider. You can follow me, my lead, and you can be forgiven for your sins, for looking down at the stars and I. I can forgive you, this... You chased after heaven, and now you pay. You were naive, and now you suffer.

But I can fix everything.

PROPHET'S ACCOUNT: TWO WEEKS BEFORE GREENSKEEPER

I, Aja, have received a grievous tail wound from none other than treacherous Alligator, daughter of Frog and Burr. I see the madness in her four eyes. She must be put to death, but Frog will not allow it, despite the danger she poses to myself!

It happened while I had been discussing a course of action against the barbaric clans encroaching on our territory. Frog does not wish to leave his home, especially so closely to the Greenskeeper's Gathering (it can be said that all deities are to be respected. However, I discourage the often downright barbaric and uncivilized behavior that is so often observed in Nature dragons at the annual height of their magical power); I, however, wish to relocate Deepbloom to the Sunbeam Ruins. This is a most logical course of action, as the Ruins are close by, there is little threat of primitive savages, and it is a much more ideal clime for the Tundras of our clan (I hoped at least Burr would be swayed by this suggestion of compassion, but Belemus ran his mouth, stating foolishly he and Sirene did not mind the heat). I tried to convince Frog of these things, but he would not be swayed. I then quite reasonably suggested that it was overall safer for future hatchlings there, as the dragons of the Light flight were far more dignified. This sent the mostly silent Alligator into a ridiculous rage. She argued furiously with me on this subject. The thing that truly broke the Earthshaker's back, however, was when I stated the fact of the reason we should have moved from the Viridian Labyrinth long ago: the Arcanist had came to me in my visions, and ordered me to leave. I stated that Frog must have received this vision as well, but misinterpreted it, as he had moved not from the Labyrinth but from the Everbloom Gardens to the Gladeveins. It was because of the primal combination of Nature and Mirror blood-- he was not advanced enough to uncover the true meaning. I said it dismissively, as a statement to end the matter.
I saw her spring at me. Before I could stop her, she took advantage of the fact that I had whipped about, tail in front of me, and fell upon it in a flurry of tooth and claw. She almost fully lacerated part of my tail before Squall and Rhosyn yanked her off of me! A danger. Truly a danger. I shall request once again for her punishment. Frog will agree to it-- no matter his bias, he cannot deny she is a threat to my well being. It is imperative I maintain my health, above all, in order to dispose of those fools.
