When Crystal was born, his parents were greatly disappointed by his appearance. At first glance, a dragon might mistaken him for a sick coatl, and that was a fate that his parents had been hoping to spare him and his siblings from. Unfortunately, it seemed that all their children would inherit their pale ice colouring.

Crystal himself wasn't too bothered by it. He still had his siblings and he didn't really care about having friends in the clan. When not with his family, he spent his time honing his affinity with ice- a family trait passed down from generation to generation.

Slowly, his siblings started to leave the nest one by one and they ventured out to other clans to find a place for themselves. Crystal himself soon found his attachment to the clan weakening. At last, he left the icy lands and travelled around Sornieth before chancing across the Haven in the Viridian Labyrinth.
