At your hatching, I never would have expected the dragon you grew up to be. You were so soft-mannered, attached to my side and unsure of the world around you, it was my duty as your mother to be sure you were socialized and comfortable in our clan. Perhaps I shouldn't have let the caregivers spend so much time with you or forced you into engaging with the other hatchlings. I've no idea what happened, but something did happen. You changed. Suddenly you were volunteering for hunting trips, bringing home prey that was so gnarled and mangled that it was hardly edible. The rocks surrounding your den were becoming grated with clawings, even the softness in your face hardened, as if overnight. You have a strength to you that is both mighty and terrifying. Be mindful of how you use this strength as you carry on to your next clan, or I fear you will be inclined to make more enemies than friends.
